My favorites are still the glowing mushroom call and the naked-camo call.
I'm guessing thats just calling Sigint after taking your shirt off.
Just posting these here, I made them a LONG time ago. there's only one size (click to enlarge), so if anybody wants to resize them be my guest. sexy ass wallpapers Maybe OP can add them to the main post?
Damn those are some sexy ass wallpapers.
I'm guessing thats just calling Sigint after taking your shirt off.
Or talking to The Boss with a weird camo(and she gets angry at you for doing that). Also, the box call. PW tapes: NORAD(the first one), after reading the letter to Strangelove, the denial that something happened while Cecile was with Strangelove at the lab, and her drunk. GZ will be mostly open-world and kinda like GTA, right? Wonder if that means we might be able to pilot a helicopter, or even a prototype or miniature Metal Gear. Then again, that isn't really stealthy.
I think you'll only be able to drive ground vehicles. Although, you can call a helicopter to take you around places I think.
So i can't hijack a metal gear? oh well ground zeroes is going to kick ass none the less.
I really hope there's just medium-sized square maps with a central location and a few missions each. Having a GTA sized singular map would ruin GZ. It'd become Just Cause 2, not MGS.
I think they said it's going to be like a few bases per map, with terrain between them, and maps will be located in a different country. So there will be a lot to explore but it's not going to be the same open-world gameplay like gta.
sounds like something similar to mgs3 without the load screens in between areas.
I hope they rebalance it for GZ, it was hell for new players once it had been around for some years. I could never get into it, hs' everywhere.
Less dependance on Headshots and sort out the lag issues. Game would be amazing.
also no love for metal gear acid in op :(
Man, I really want to play the HD collection but for some reason it's still $30-40. I was only ever able to play Peace Walker to the first boss because I was using my sister's PSP (bought the game for myself though, so it's just sitting around) and now she won't let me borrow it again.
also no love for metal gear acid in op :(
Thats because Metal Gear Ac!d is pretty much a spin-off and not directly a sequel to Metal Gear 2. Infact I dont even think it is a sequel to Metal Gear 2 at all. Plus, it deviates heavily from the real time gameplay, changing in favor of a turn-based system.
Infact I dont even think it is a sequel to Metal Gear 2 at all.
It's not, it's a spinoff, it basically has nothing to do with the other games other than some of the characters. It's pretty damn fun though.
Joystiq has some new Revengeance screenshots up. [img_thumb]http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/11/mgrsamuel.jpg[/img_thumb] Dem childbearing hips.
Talk about hips.
I've scanned the thread but have yet to find an answer, one would assume the preferred order for a first timer to MGS is MGS 1 > MGS 2 > MGS 3 > MGS PW > MGS 4 ?

I'm playing 4 before PW because I'm a lazy cunt, holy shit does this game look good. I'm also kind of struggling to get past undetected through people, and my guess is that 4 was made to be a little more of a shooter than the previous ones, since you can aim correctly on third-person. Are there any disadvantages if I just ghost through a map?

While for example in those sections where PMC and the rebels are in big firefights, I just fire along :v:

If you have a PSP, Portable Ops is worth a go after MGS3. It's nowhere near as good as PW, and its story is barely referenced in future games, but it's fun anyway.

There's nothing wrong with playing them in numerical order though. It's just that gameplay wise, MGS3 is the best experience arguably. Saving the best for last is what most people will advocate. MGS2 is a great game, but admittedly, I haven't touched it in a while because I couldn't re-adjust to the lack of camera control. First time I played the game, back when it was still only available on PS2 format, I didn't mind it too much. But this time around, a few years later, it's different. I really wanna play it again though to get trophies. Just gotta adjust to the shitty fixed camera.
If somebody's going to play the whole series and wants a good entry point, then they should just go with release order. As for saving the best until last, MGS4 and PW will have giant holes in them without MGS3, so if you're in it for the story - which most people are - it's best to play by release.
Shit the [sp]laughing mantis[/sp] battle is so intense, I was holding my controller so tight that my hand was hurting afterwards :v: shit's intense and crazy.
