I run Battlefield heros @ 1024x800
thank you asus for ocing on netbooks
Fucking windows 7. First blitzkrieg now dungeon keepers 2.
mine runs perfect, along with Baldur's Gate and such... you just need to understand how to do it. In DK2, Change the renderer to OpenGL which is done in the Registry key. easy as pie.
Oh you're so funny and edgy being the rebel you.
But seriously, dwarf fortress.
Are you kidding? Dwarf Fortress is like Crysis in disguise.
But seriously, dwarf fortress.
Ha! Maybe for the first year or two, but the computer would explode after that.
Anything GoldSrc.
Get that pack with all the classic half life games, or get Counter Strike 1.6 or maybe even DoD or TFC.
There's a lot of people playing the multiplayer games, and the original half life and sequels/other views/whatever they call them are AWESOME.

It was made for low-end pcs, just to get more audience and rape them with the prices.
But yeah, if you find a server where a team isn't steamrolling the other in stylish weapons and metrosexual clothing, it's a really good game.

Maple Story is actually pretty fun without spending a single buck. Lots of quests and grinding and whatnot.
I think you mean Half-Life 2/DoD Source?
What about Tiberian Sun and Red Alert series ?
Yeah. Red Alert was pretty good.
I also recommend Soldat.

No. Half life 1. Valve's games are poorly otptimizated.
[editline]02:56PM[/editline]
And wtf people post half life and cs, don't you know someone on facepunch would be aware of it ?

it's a fix that will change the rendere. for some this fixes bugs with black screens and lingering cursers. for others, this will fix the crashing. try it out. also, get rivatuner and change the OpenGL rendering from *whatever* to *something with the word "block" in it* this will fix flickering in OpenGL on Win7.
torchlight has a netbook mode you can choose under options.
Oh yea, this game.
Torchlight, system shock
http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/
Go there for grand theft auto 1 and 2. Not warez, that is the game maker's site.
Jagged Alliance 2 with whatever the latest build of the 1.13 'patch' is
torchlight has a netbook mode you can choose under options.
Torchlight.
Defcon. Every computer should have this installed. The trial is pretty good but it only costs a couple of quid now and comes with Uplink.
Vice City runs incredibly well on netbooks, you can basically crank the graphics up to the maximum on it.

netbooks is a broad term... you sure it's true for each and every one?
Sim City 4
Rainbow Six: Raven Shield.
Good luck finding a lot of players online. However, the 80 something people that still play are pretty dedicated to it. Some people say that they have been playing it on and off for 3 years or more. Sadly, I don't play it anymore as I think my clan's server shut down (well, the only one with good ping). :frown:
Singleplayer was good. Get it for that.
Sim City 4
This also or Sim City 3 if you cannot run it.
Torchlight's netbook mode is terrible, the game runs horribly on my 1.6Ghz Atom + ION, which runs HL1, L4D, Medieval II Total War and a whole bunch of games well.
It's strange that some games sucha as red faction run smoothly while half life 1 doesn't even launch and alien vs predator 2 or SOF 2 are unplayable.
OP, I'm truly sorry for you if you run Deus Ex slowly.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Morrowmind
Son, have you been taking daddy's pills again?
It is Elder Scrolls III, not IV, IV is Oblivion~!!!!!
I'm pretty sure there was never an Elder Scrolls game called Morrowmind.
In world exclusivity I'm going to tell you how to change the game speed in Blitzkrieg.
I figured it out myself since google wasn't able to provide an answer. Since facepunch (at least my threads) are very well referenced by google I offer my solution to the world :
To change game speed in Blitzkrieg with a netbook you can rebind the keys that change game speed :
+ and - can be replaced. Edit config.cfg in the game folder. Find the keywords "game_speed_inc" and "game_speed_dec". Change they key that are associated with it
For example
NUM_MINUS
, change it to
DOWN
(it will assign it to the down arrow key).
Altitude, it's $4 on Steam right now.
