Considering you are not familiar with the game mechanics, I'm hardly surprised your a little discouraged when you're comparing your numbers against other players. The fact that you are looking to improve your stats, and obviously are a reasonably competent player does suggest it will improve over time.
Take light (scout) tanks as an example. They are commonly regarded as one of most difficult, if not the most difficult tanks to drive. The reason being, to have an significant impact on game, you have to have a very complete knowledge of the game, something which cannot be gained any other way except through experience.
I'm WoT free for a couple months now. Giving my account to a friend really helped. Yeah, I sunk some stupid amount of money in it - but it was fun while it lasted.
That said, any other tank-y games if I want to scratch that armored itch? Preferably not F2P Pay2EaseGrind games like WarThunder. It doesn't even have to be tanks per say, but Naval Ops Warship Gunner 2 was short and got too wacky with the lasers and twin-hull battleships. :v:

Russian line to the KV1 and then KV1S to the IS-7. Or, American heavy through the M4 to the T29.
The Russian heavy is definitely the "safe" one. Great tanks besides the IS-8 which plays like a med.

Because the 2801 mounts a rapetacular 105 where the 50-2 mounts a 57
2801 doesn't need an even better engine. it's already OP with the 105 HEAT, giving it 50-2's mobility would make it absolutely ridiculous. even with just 105 HE it'd be ridiculous.

Not true, I hardly get kills since my image the other day.
My shots usually just bounce off, do 5-12 DMG, or disable their treds.
I can hit for over 100+, but it doesn't seem to happen as often as I'd like.
And to be fair, my SU crumples like cardboard from more or less any shot that connects with it.

I got hit for all my health in a Panzer III going 50 two rounds ago by an SU-26.
