I've been doing pretty well with just the 100mm. The penetration is still quite decent, and the ROF more than makes up for the lack of alpha. Looking forward to the 120mm gun, though. More damage per shell is going to be nice on the credits.

Yeah the 100mm is good but the 120mm is devastating, and the dpm is better with it. The aim time is bearable too.

Was drawn with one in an encounter game recently while in my 48. He ripped up and IS4 in one clip with a little help from me and then took some damage while reloading, with nowhere to hide as they noticed he was refilling clip. I was at full health and he had about 450 hp left, so I pulled in front of him to soak two hits while he reloaded and then he ripped most of an IS8 and a full health T34 to shreds, we held the flank and won the game narrowly, both surviving.
Normally if I do that I get 'NOOB BLOCKER' spam. He just said 'Thanks 48'.

You download it from the link (it's the link in the gray box), drop all of the files in "World_of_Tanks\res_mods\0.8.3\gui\flash", then you have to open up the XVM.xvmconf file (with a good text editor like Notepad++ if you want any formatting, notepad doesn't recognize the line breaks) and find "minimap" then at the very least change enabled in the section from false to true.

On any tank really, if your turret gets knocked out, aiming in the general direction of a target, let alone where exactly you want, is next to impossible unless you're right next to them.
It would be cool if they added support for devices which report beyond on and off (e.g. controllers where the thumb sticks report a value depending on how far they are pressed, rather than just either being pressed or not), so that the future you pressed a button or what not, the faster the turret turned up to its max speed.
So if they add Havok physics I'm guessing tracks will have actual decent physics and tanks can roll over?

Yes but they are very limited and mostly server side.
Having HAVOK physics running client-side would make the tracks move much more realistically and remove a bit of server load.

Warthunder isn't really any better right now, there is absolutely NO communication between it's developer and the NA Community, and there defiantly is a Soviet-bias.

That's subjective, but I would say USSR has the best tier 8 (maybe, the Pershing is good too), 9, and 10.
The French line isn't bad at tier 5+, but the tier 9 is just horrid.
The British line (from what I've done) is nice at tier 6 to 8.
The US line is good, with tier 7 being average at best, but the tier 10 is nothing to write home about.
The German line is more like a heavy tree that trades some of its HP and armor for speed, not to say it's bad, it's just not really a medium line sans the tier 9 and 10 tanks maybe.
I can't comment on the Chinese tree aside from I've heard good things about the tier 10.

It's going to be cosmetic stuff, like tracks moving over ground and maybe non-hitbox stuff moving (like the logs and tarps strapped to so many Russian tanks) because it's going to be client side, so while it will make the game look better, it won't really change anything.

I personally loved the Pershing, but the gobal statistics say it's lagging behind on ever other T8 medium in existence, including the god damn Type 59.
Also about the German line, I can't exactly comment on the Panther II but the Panther was one of the least pleasant grind I've had in this game so far. Yes, the high pen and accuracy are nice but the DPM is null and the damn thing gets ammo racked and set on fire every match.
