I usually don't download these things, but I might as well try it just to make somebody feel more depressed and like a loser because they are outmatched!
I never liked Gnomefather's engine sounds, simply because they were FAR too loud at the start of the match, and the American medium tank engines were unbalanced; worse, they switched balance when I changed to sniper view.
I downloaded that sound mod and now my game crashes constantly.
I start a match, finish it, start a new one, crash. Restart, finish that match, start a new one, crash.
etc

Object 263 line is complete trash, aside from the 263 itself, dont even bother trying to grind that

Haven't tried the new line or the 268, but in my experience, stop at the SU-152 because thats where the fun stops.
Oh, and can someone give me some tips with the Type T-34? The darn thing is fucking horrible, even with the 57mm gun. No gun depression, very sluggish acceleration, armor is useless against tier 6/7s... I just want my 59-16 already!

Well, it seems the mod is pretty good, it doesn't rape my ears to bad. Not a fan of the heavy metal that you get in the loading screens but other than that.

So some dude in an obj. 268 at the begining of the match drives forward a bit, turned completely to the left and just stops in front of me (i am in a light tank, so I take literally 3 damage) and then he proceeds to whine for the entire rest of the match about having to pay for my repair bill.

As long as the Foch 155 exists along with the T110s, there's basically no reason for the 268 to exist.
The grind to it is kinda fun, but it really drops after the ISU. If someone tells you the camo on soviet TDs works, they're lying. As soon as a BL-10 shell is fired, the tank's commander has to fire a flare in the air just to make sure all those T92s don't have too much trouble hitting you.
Oh, and there's the whole track seeking shells and dinging off T-50-2s thing.
Just grind through the French line, it's better for your mental health once you're past the T6.

I am still torn between the Ferdi and the Jagdpanther II after thinking about it a bit more. While I really do like the combination of firepower and speed, as is the case with the Hellcat (which I really like) and that the JP2 has, the change of pace that the Ferdi offers is an opportunity that is hard to pass up. Being in a TD that can actually face other tanks is an appealing prospect.

It really only depends on play style. I think if you have gotten this far in the German TDs, then you will be good with either one.

The ferdi is outdated, it's armor has been subpar for a while now and it's even more useless with goldshells-for-credits. Furthermore it's [i]incredibly[/i] slow and cumbersome. Why invest in an underarmored, over weight, slow, TD when you can invest in one that has actual speed? JP2>Ferdi

keep in mind ferdi's stock grind is absolutely awful. None of the jagdpanther engines carry over to the ferdi like they do in the JP2, so you have to grind 2 engines, and you'll only really notice a speed boost on the last engine. You're also stuck with the short 105 which is extremely mediocre when on the ferdi due to speed limitations.

I stand corrected.
imo the only reason to go ferdi now is to cut into the branch via tiger P, but otherwise you should always take the jp2 path

Ferdinand is in a completely different realm than the previous german tds, following a rolling fortress playstyle (which actually doesn't really work anymore due to gold rounds and railguns)
JP2 is a continuation of the previous TDs, being mobile, okayish armor, and well armed
Before gold shells and fucking MAC cannons came about the ferdi was actually a really intimidating TD. Now when I see one in a T7 I just lol and load gold.
