Am I the only one that gets these completely stupid bouts of lag where I lose complete control of my tank but everybody else still moves and shoots just fine? You're completely at the mercy of everybody else in an out of control tank. It's extremely frustrating and has gotten me killed twice today.

It's packet loss caused by WGs horrible Telia.net connection.

Can't decide which TD line to go down, soviet or french
Confirmed German new top LT: RU215 (more info here)
- it's not yet decided what will happen to equipment meant for medium tanks (rammers etc.) on a VK3601 tank, when it turns into a heavy. Storm will tell before the patch.
- VK2801 was nerfed because it has a different MM now, it won't drop into hightier battles (removed from MM tiers 11 and 12)
- FV215b HESH shell is not deemed overpowered, as it has its own flaws: it explodes on spaced armor and external modules and doesn't do full damage, it also doesn't have normalisation (LOL !)
- after cutting the VK2801 MM, Germans now don't have a top tier LT. "Keep an eye on following patches"
Definitely French. Keep in mind that while the Sau-40 (tier 4) and ARL V39 (tier 6) are both mérde, and the Mle.46 (tier 7) is pretty average, the S-35Ca (tier 5) and tier 8 onwards are all amazingly fun and very good TDs. I'm very much in love with the Mle.48, especially after attaining the 100mm.
Another good thing is that, if you ever plan on going up the French heavy line, both the engines and the radios from the tier 7+ TDs carry over to the heavy line.
I'm at the sau-40 right now and I'm having fun with it, upgraded the gun and I'm raping with it :v:
Speaking of which, anyone up for afternoon ruskie killing? On eu.
I liked the ARL V39. Just don't use the top gun (the one with 200+ pen). Aim time and RoF are awful on it. Use the 100mm or whatever it is with 175mm pen or so. It's a really nice gun.
In all else I agree with Error. The T10 appears very strong and tiers 7,8,9 are very decent.
Never really understood about the 11 and 12 MM.
IS-2 firing HEAT is hilarious. 300mm of pen.
Of course, you still get some BS bounces (KV-1 frontal, apparently made out of depleted uranium), but at least you can wreck tier 9s with a clean shot.
I am gonna take a break from this game, too annoying currently

I suppose the problem was that I preferred penetration over alpha, due to the damn thing ending up in so many tier 8 matches. Maybe I was just unlucky. Either way, I've noticed I'm pretty rubbish when playing TDs that have no armor, and the tumor on top of the V39 didn't help matters.
I suspect it's quite a bit to do with play style too. If you like the sniping from bushes style TDs then the top gun would work better and it gives you time to aim. If you like the assault gun aggressive apporach then the 100mm works much better.
The flaw in the game for me is that fixed gun TDs have to move the hull too often to reliably hide in a bush, so I tend to play most of them aggressively. It's a shame the game doesn't reduce camo from cover proportionately by the amount of movement rather than being binary.
High alpha, speed, traverse and fast aim time are the features that I like in fixed gun TDs, so I like the Object 704 for example, as well as most of the French line.
Currently working at the AMX 48 and SU-122-54, because both top tiers will suit my playstyle I think. All other TD lines are fully researched, but I'm not so keen on their T10s.

Considering the Mle.48 can keep pace with a Type 59 with the upgraded engines and tracks, I'd say they're a very maneuverable line of TDs. Not to mention the 150mm highly sloped frontal armor it has; I've bounced shots from IS-3s and Tiger IIs with the right angling.

The SU-122-54 is even more manoeuverable. Bigger gun on T54 hull and same top engine. Turns on a sixpence. Have surprised a few lights that were lazy in their circling. Haven't got the top gun yet though.
After the pain of the grind to get to T9 (non-existant gun depression)we deserved an enjoyable TD to play.
Only downside is the idiotic tower on the 48's ass. I mean come on, and I have to have an extra gunner there too.

Don't forget about the paper sides and arse.
Arty is the worst nightmare in that tank.

The cunts at wargaming are such useless hacks, just look at this bullshit.
Jesus christ this is just ridiculous, it's like they forget about older tanks when they release new ones.

Also the tier 7 TD has 1250 HP, what the fucking fuck.
You gotta be retarded to even release a test server with tanks like this.
We got to the final battle for the province, and lost due to a lucky shot by an SU-26 with 1 second left on the cap clock. We are entirely able to get this shit. We would be even better off if we had more people.
And remember guys, tonight we outplayed and beat [DEMI], one of the better clans in the game.
Do you know what I am really bugged about? That final battle I was screwed over by RNG. I landed no shots in the game despite having clear shots. In fact, I had 7 shots on their artillery with fully zeroed shots. Not a single one even landed close enough to say "that was close". Then of course there was the cap reseting shot that he could not hit me, but only splash me, and given the splash of a SU-26, that was insanely lucky.

The tortoise has really thin armor, I mean, 'can be reliably penned by a six pounder' thin. Its not unwarranted with its slow speed and large size that it get a very good gun along with a fair amount of health. I expect to see a reduction to its ROF nonetheless.
I can't connect to the test server, is it just me?
I can't connect to the test server, is it just me?
the russians jam the test servers apparently
its always like that.
I think the worst part about that Tortoises gun is that it's a carbon copy of the french one.
Jesus christ come up with something new.

They're both licensed versions of the US 120mm if I remember rightly, so they should be pretty similar.

Fuck "historical accuracy" and make some interesting new stuff instead of rehashes.
Finally, a team not full of retards who I can scout for.
Managed to slip into their base and spot/take out their entire arty group, while dodging a T28 Prototype's fire. Then I got him killed from my own team's arty.
Fast little bugger.
