In a straight up frontal fight
In any match where the enemy has artillery. EVERY MATCH
In any engagement where anything larger then a fucking loltraktor flanks me
When my treads break, I'm going down
When my engine is shot, I'm going down
When my driver stubs his toe on a small rock, I'm going down
When they figure out they can just shoot my copula and kill 3 of my crew, I'm going down. I die two times at the same time when an arty manages to this, and they do it a lot.
SU-5's can take off half my health and kill all of my crew inside their fucking landship that way
When my gun is reloading because my loader died, I'm going down
The pros?
Long range autoaimed shots from T7 have a small chance of bouncing from the front, but sometimes a 20mm round goes through my machinegun port and decapitates my commander's wife and children
My engine noise is over the safety limit, so I can annoy my enemies to death
My tonnage weight means I can ram, my speed limit means I can't ram (thanks for that massive nerf WG)

Suicide scouting is acceptable in most tier 4 shit-lights. Gives exp and credits much faster than being careful. Blame wargaming.

What, that thing is a beast? Just drive at the enemy with a slight angle and they either bounce off your front or the tracks eat their shells. Even the hatch on top isn't super weak, so with a bit of an angle it should be fine as well.
Unless, of course, they are using gold rounds, then you're likely not going to bounce nearly as much, but most players can't afford gold rounds so you should be fine.
Frontal turret armour is 180. You can pen it with literally every T8 gun. Getting my ass handed to me in my KV-5 by a Tiger is not an experience I enjoy.

Well look at that, the leopard received a buff to its medium and soft ground resistance, from 1.1 to 1 on medium terrain, and 2.1 to 1.9 on soft terrain and 1 to 0.9 on soft terrain. No wonder along with the 3 degree increased traverse it feels so zippy.

The Type T-34 may have pathetic gun depression but it's DPM is stupid bullshit. It's very difficult to play against in a slow tank.

Sure, it's 180mm (excluding where the mantel is which is around 120 plus 180 spaced), but it's mostly sloped. With a bit of an angle you'll be bouncing things like a tier 8 Maus.
Also, if you're losing to a Tiger in a KV-5 or a KV-4 (I'm not sure if the 5 was a misprint on your part) then you have some serious problems.
Say, do you have the good 107? Because that might help, the 122's accuracy and pen isn't all that great at that tier, especially with the speed of the KV-4.
