Its an 'alright' tank. Nothing special about it. Make sure you get the tracks so you can use the long 90mm for it then go straight for the 105mm once you get the tank. Dont bother researching the other 90mm (M36) because I didn't find it that much useful, pretty much wasted exp(doesn't help the track grind much either)

Well considering I grinded 340k XP on it before the T10 mediums were announced, I guess there's something special about it.
The stock grind is probably the worst out of all the T9 mediums. You're not very fast, you don't have much armor and you have a gun that has no accuracy, penetration or damage. Just make sure you have some Free XP at least for the tracks so you can mount the long 90, else you better prepare your anus.
Just do tracks -> 105 -> engine -> turret -> M48A1.

Coming to think of it, the Lorraine probably took the M46's place as the worst stock medium in the game. Fuck WG for removing the long 90 from it.
I can't remember the last time my merge worked.
So me and a couple buddies were looking to get back into WoT, but one of the major put offs for us was that platoon sizes were limited to 2 for free accounts, did they ever increase that?

They're all quite nice once you get past tier 4, with a few exceptions (ARL V39 is horribad tier 6). Just think whether you prefer TDs, Heavy tanks that are mediums in disguise, or light baguette tanks?

BP is a great tank. 17Pdr not great a tier up though.
Caernarvon is funny tank with 20Pdr B. Ranged peekaboom king. Less experienced T8 opposition wait to aim too long and you've hit them and reversed to cover before their aim circle is half done. Virtually instant aiming with Vstab.
Recommend grinding together with Centurion. Researched 2nd engine and radio on Cent at same time as guns on Caern. Made it less painful. Now just need 3rd engine and Conq.

I don't understand how a speed limit makes a tank objectively bad, especially one with all dat delicious turret armor and respectable hull armor. If you don't like it cause it can't keep up with the battle, well, it's really not supposed to. From my experience in the Churchill VII, if we're counting anecdotes, was that you generally sit in the back and snipe or do base defense.

Scout. I'm not trying to be malicious or antagonizing here. I honestly don't know what you meant when you just said that all you need to say was its rather slow top speed. How do its other factors not make up for it? I ask because eventually I will be in one, and believe it or not, I [i]like[/i] to hear other peoples' opinions. Including yours. Being incredibly vague about it all doesn't really tell me much..
When Thor and Ogo had it they seemed to really love it, and if I recall correctly, Ogo was absorbing JT long 128 shells in the mantlet left and right. Surely its armor has some merit, no?
