Buying back the black prince.
worst to worst I use the tiny amount of gold left from the cards I have left over from last year (gift cards, not gold cards) to get to the Churchill VII (I'll probably have the T5 one by then at the least, though, on matilda now)
So I just played 45mm MS-1 with all APCR and got five kills I made money.
So I just played 45mm MS-1 with all APCR and got five kills I made money.
45mm MS-1 is OP even without APCR. It's the only T1 that can defend itself against a Minimaus.
how do you do that ensk glitch thing? i spent a whole match trying to figure it out
Anyway, how well do the T-34s perform anyway?(Both the T-34/76 and the /85). Because you don't hear very much about them and I don't see very many of them in pubs.
I love my T-34/57, and the 34/85 I haven't played since they removed the D10t so I couldn't tell you.
New Event coming: http://worldoftanks.com/news/1924-heavy-destruction-weekend/ EDIT: Shamelessly copy and pasted.
Great timing on that x2 crew bonus. Right after I finished power-grinding my panzer II crew skills! ..Maybe I can fully upgrade skill 3 now.. :v:
Tank Commanders! If you're a glutton for punishment, we're completely willing to roll right over your puny Tank Company -- we'll even pay you for the privilege! Indeed, we'll be slinging gold at every team we face*. Come earn your share this Friday in a medium Tank Company! This week we're teaming up with a few of the folks at Logitech Gaming to form our Tank Company. They've been good enough to sponsor the prizes for our Extreme T2 Stunts Creative Contest. If you somehow beat the odds and manage to pry a victory away from our steel-clawed hands, 400will be awarded to everyone in your Tank Company. Because we expect to trounce every team we face, we've put together a consolation prize. 200will be paid out to each member of your Company if you lose the match. The battles begin at 15:00 PST on January 11th, 2013 and will run for approximately three hours. Curious what time this is in your region? Use this handy Time Zone Converter to help you out. We'll announce to the Company chat each time we enter the medium queue, so you stand a better chance of finding us. Good luck, you'll need it!
So, how do companies work, and who's up for some free gold?

I suddenly want a TOG. That shit was like the HMS Hood on tracks.
I suddenly want a TOG. That shit was like the HMS Hood on tracks.
I managed to ammorack one using the U-11 on my KV-1s [sp]using HEAT of course[/sp]. It was also a side shot and they also get one shotted by KV-2s and suck when it comes to facing higher tiers.
I fucking adore the Churchill I even if I'm only using the Mk. V L/50 machine gun of doom

TOG in groups or in company battles are to be massed together and focused at the apex as a spearhead, supported by artillery with spotter tanks, and swiftly followed by high alpha tanks to clean up while the enemy is busy shooting at the Walls of heath that are the Togs.

"I love potatos M79" didn't even spell potatoes right
Chieftain did a Reddit AMA. Some highlights.
Q:My question is along the lines of tank customization. As in, how often and in what ways would/could tank crews customize their tanks in the field and, if they could, how could these customizations be implemented into the game? I ask because customization is a huge draw for me to a game, and the more unique my avatar is (be it tank or wizard), the more attached I am and the more I play. Anything to make my tank slightly different than someone else's tank is always welcome. A:Sadly, not as much as one might like to make it interesting. Generally speaking, any customisations tended to be more for the matter of creature comfort: Welding another stowage rack on, or maybe moving the pintle machinegun from the rear of the turret to front. Customisations which result in significant combat effect tended to be more at the unit level, such as the installation of hedgecutters or sandbag or wooden armour (Not that these necessarily helped). Painting was generally limited to a name and maybe a slogan. Korean War was about the only significant exception, where tiger faces etc would be painted to the front of the tanks. Q:What's your favorite tank to play in World of Tanks? A:T32. Probably followed closely by M103 Q: Thanks for being here. I only have one question at the moment: One of the items I am most excited about is the possibility of Garage Battles. Will this ever become a real game type, and if so, how soon do you think we may see this kind of variety in the game? A:I'd put a few dollars on it becoming a real game type. Actually, I'm not sure why it hasn't been already, they've been talking about it for long enough. I do not know the specific date off the top of my head. Q:Overall how much like real tanking would you say WoT is? A: Not much. The big difference is fire distribution. In real life, you want to avoid your team firing multiple rounds at the same target. In WoT, you focus all your rounds on a target until it's gone, then move to the next. Camoflauge is handled differently as well. However, some fundamental rules such as not crossing over ridges are to be followed in both environments. Q:Chieftain, two questions here. First, what is the most ridiculous tank you've come across researching for WG, in terms of it's purpose or appearance? Second, I'm assuming that you've been to your fair share of tank museums. Which one would you say has been the best experience? A:Oddly, that is going to be a subject of The Chieftain's Hatch in a couple of weeks. Product of some of my archive digging. Bovington for seeing them running at TankFest. MVTF for the level of access they've granted me with the sheer number of tanks intact inside and out. *Special shout-out to the lads at Puckapunyal who really went out of their way to help WoT players have a good time. Q:If you could add any tank/td/arty to the game, what would you add? If you could remove one, which one would you remove? A:Carrier, Tank Attack, 2Pr, Local Pattern 2A. Either that or the Semovente 90/53 Good question. Probably the ARL-44. Especially stock, the thing is absolutely hideous. Q:The Leopard 1 and AMX 30 have been announced for the game and we allready have a T62 variant in game. Could a configuration of the M60 Patton fit into the game? If so, how do you think this would work out? (is there a rifled cannon it could use?) Would you consider the M60 the counterpart to the above tanks both in and out of the game? A:The cannon would surely be the M58 105mm if it were to be incorporated. (I can't think of another.. the 120mm smoothbore is way too OP for WoT). Probably the counterpart to the later versions, such as AMX-30B1/B2 or Leopard 1A1A4 or Leopard 1A5. Q:You probably don't know or can't say, but can you give us any information on the British tank destroyer tree? A:Not much. Your typical favourites, Archer, Achilles and Tortoise are liable to be around somewhere. I'm afraid the 2pr isn't the cool-looking Aussie LPA Carrier, Tank Attack. There was a slew of British designs int the leadup to Tortoise (AT-15 is in the game already) so I might not be surprised to see some of those show up either. Q:Is there going to be new tanks to the dedicated light tank lines? A:Yes. Light lines are going to be expanded, I believe M41 was pretty much confirmed by the Minskonians this week. Q:Chieftain: I know you've watched Girls Und Panzer, since you have posted in the thread, so: 1) Is is possible for Wargaming to add a 'flag battle' game mode? (one tank on the team is the flag. when it dies, the match is over and your side loses) 2) Which GuP team is the best team? A:Best question thus far. 1. There was a proposal for a similar idea called "Escort" mode, where only three tanks on your team were capable of capturing the base. If you lost those three tanks, the best you could get was a draw. It was dropped from production because it was shown that random pub players were too daft to understand the concept. 2. Hmm... Naomi's crew seemed to know what it was on about, but all in all, I'll go with Hippo for now. Though I am curious to see how the Automotive crowd do in their Tiger P.

It was dropped from production because it was shown that random pub players were too daft to understand the concept.
That sounds about right.
If you could remove one, which one would you remove? Good question. Probably the ARL-44. Especially stock, the thing is absolutely hideous.
What the fuck, Chieftain. >:( [editline].[/editline] Stock turret is silly but apart from that I happen to like the ARL.
Q:Is there going to be new tanks to the dedicated light tank lines? A:Yes.
So does this mean that Tier IV light tanks will no longer be thrown into high tier matches after their implementation?
Probably not.

Oh my god the Pz II is just INSANE.
Oh my god the Pz II is just INSANE.
...against soft same-tier targets like the T1E6. The pompom is a lot more versatile of a tank because that extra 10mm of pen and speed really invalidates even the toughest of Tier 3 armor, even if it is a colossal box of cardboard.
You know, I had this terrible thought about what WG might do to get the M60 in along with all those other tanks they got modeled. It went something like this: As a Tier II, the good ol' M1921 from the Christie branch I already talked about those tanks enough :v: As a Tier III, the M1931 well did you really expect a picture, it's a fucking BT tank, there's nothing else to it As a Tier IV, the M1935 again I'm not going to repeat my Christie bullshit As a Tier V, the improved Sherman! Mad slopes, probably thicker armor than the M4A1. Could be balanced with a nerfed M1A1 or something more creative. As a Tier VI... well umm... I ran out of ideas. As a Tier VII, our good old friend the M4 again, with a twist: a Pershing turret Good turret armor, shit hull armor and it's gonna be slow as shit with a good gun for its tier. The perfect companion to the T34. I don't know what they'd put as a stock turret, maybe the E8's with the M1A2? Now that's where it gets interesting, the Tier VIII T95E2 Now this one could be really fucking imbalanced. The hull armor is fairly thick and it's close to autobounce, the turret could also be pretty dingy at T8 but it's not going to eat a lot of shells when it faces a T10. As for the guns, the M48A1's 90mm isn't going to be enough; it's gonna need a made up gun, one which could be taken from its successor. The god damn T54E2. That's right, that ugly duckling is coming back as yet another T9 medium No autoloader bullcrap, probably a 90mm gun with high penetration. Looks like a nice tank all around, but nothing amazing either. And now there's the M60. I honestly don't see any way how they could introduce the M60 and not make the M48A1 obsolete. It's better in every way possible, even sexiness. [editline]11th January 2013[/editline] Wait a second. I dun goofed, the M1921 isn't the Christie M1921. Oops. Oh well it still fits a bit, a tiny, tiny bit.
Isnt the "improved sherman" Just an M4A3? [editline]11th January 2013[/editline] and like I said last time isnt the T95E2 better then the T54E2?
Isnt the "improved sherman" Just an M4A3? [editline]11th January 2013[/editline] and like I said last time isnt the T95E2 better then the T54E2?
With the M48 turret and the 90mm that comes with it, it's unlikely to be better. As for the armor, considering how much of a fuck Wargaming gives about composite, it's gonna be thin and useless as always.
...against soft same-tier targets like the T1E6. The pompom is a lot more versatile of a tank because that extra 10mm of pen and speed really invalidates even the toughest of Tier 3 armor, even if it is a colossal box of cardboard.
The cardboard armor and high profile are huge drawbacks for the tank though, in my opinion. When I'm in my panzer II, I can stand my ground and basically bounce anything while whittling them down with well aimed 20mm rounds. With the cruiser, it's pretty much kill or be killed.
Aside from the help of a PzIV firing a single shot at the Cromwell then dying, it was me vs him 1v1 on the north hills of Sand River. Loaded HEAT, emptied into him, killed the bugger. Bounced one of his shots, took two, dodged the rest. M5 Stuart OP [editline]m5 strong[/editline] This tank is my calling.
