I bought KV-2 in hopes of having some FUN, but apparently it's an orbital strike magnet.
Because everyone's afraid you'll have fun all over them first
Had a really odd match in my t-50 today, was just cruising around when I took notice of what tanks the enemy had, hetzers, m3 lee was on top. It was a tier 4 match, now normally the lowest I get is tier 5. Hell of a match though, being able to pen everything frontally and even managing to bounce a couple of shots.
This should be the latest one, if not I'll bug Jet for the link. http://www.mediafire.com/?zn2dxgkuegk774y
*
Man, the centurion is goooooooood!
-Devs are happy with the balancing and amount of Lowe tanks
Gee, what a surprise.
I remember the days where we had to deal with 8 Löwes on each team. Or 8 M6A2E1s per team while you're a M4A2E4 with the odd Pz V/IV in there. Or when WG announced they'd stop selling the Type 59 and everyone started rush buying them. You youngsters only have to deal with a bunch of T7 premiums.
So I randomly happened to find a really, really old gift card with $32 left on it. That's enough to be able to purchase 6500 gold, or with spending a few more dollars get the Super Pershing. What do you guys suggest?
The super p is good for US medium crew training. It also doubles as the most glorious and fun bullet sponge that absorbs shots and squeezes out mad silver. Downsides include slow speed and 175 pen for tier 8

bwahahaha so I'm playing a T6 match in my Churchill I and some M7 thinks it's a good idea to slam full speed into me. He dies, I take a shitload of damage and some other wolverine kills me, but the fact that the M7 killed himself and it counted it to me was great :v:
Jesus christ, sometimes I can't do shit in my KV-2 because the moment I drive somewhere, my ass gets blasted from eleven directions and I can't see anything either because suddenly invisible tanks everywhere. I don't have any teammates to back me up either, they're all dead already or at other side of the map, because my fat ass can't keep up with them. Open maps are a pain in the ass.
Finished coating my Marder II. now to celebrate with some WOT tiger and Panther, Here I come bitch
Battle: Malinovka Saturday, January 12, 2013 5:46:01 PM Vehicle: Valentine II Experience received: 2,252 (x2 for the first victory each day) Credits received: 24,384 Battle Achievements: Pascucci's Medal, Steel Wall, Sniper, Mastery Badge: "1st Class"
Valentine II gives no fucks.

I've sent an IS-3 ducking back behind cover when he was lining up a shot at me, just because he knew I could do 700 damage in one hit. What most pubbies forget is that you've got a 20 second reload, at best. So sitting in a camped position, like the large northern sand dune on Sand River, means they won't dare risk coming at you, even if you're sitting there alone.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
Oh, I know never to rely on scare tactics to keep the idiots away, but if it comes down to that it'll work more often than not.
OC, donut steel etc.
Clearly not actually-good USSR Premium 'tildys :argh:

Does Spall Liner protect tracks?
OC, donut steel etc.
I just realized when the Stug killed a Matilda it said Turtile Destroyed Bigelow but Nilgiri is the one who got taken out. :v:

What does the Lowe do better than the t34 (or whatever the us premium is)
What does the Lowe do better than the t34 (or whatever the us premium is)
Lets see. Löwe has a frontal armor that can be penned with 225 or more pen, and the LFP is paper, plus the tank is huge. It has an underwhelming gun with shit RoF. T34 has that ridiculous american bunker turret armor which is nigh unpennable, it has a really great gun (albeit russia level aim time), the hull armor isn't anything special (can bounce 144 pen or more.) I don't see a reason to get a Löwe to be honest.
So I played a couple matches with my new M24, finely crafted by the most talented mechanics under the the star spangled flag. This thing's pretty useless running stock. The top engine's got loads of power but it'll be a while 'til I reach that, unless I waste more of my precious eurobucks to buy gold for converting experience which I have no will to do after spending all that money on TOGs.

Löwe needs a rework, it should have it should be remade according to its historical stats (schwëre und leichte version, pick one). The current one is just a bad mix, bad engine, to high weight.
225? I can reliably get through with 175. The lower front is pretty flat and only 120mm thick.
Oh my god, that's so bad.
- IS-6's armor is completely historical, Wikipedia has it wrong apparently - there are some vague plans to improve the quality of models (resp. textures) - future graphics optimalisations are planned - it's not planned to make crew not "heat-resistant" when the tank burns because it would cripple it too much - Steel wall: hits from allies don't count (SS: related to the fact that there was a bug with sniper medal where shooting corpses DID count) - an autoloader is not a special collision module, it falls under the ammo rack - the smoke and dust effects won't have a separate on/off switch (you'll have to use 3rd party programs) - the fact tanks sometimes "drop" to the ground from small height after the battle countdown stops is because the tracks get aligned to the land like that by the game engine - the access to the ingame data such as exact tank armor placement and its exact values and statistics (detailed winrate, killed tanks etc.) are a "gray area" - mods that collect them aren't banned, but the devs aren't very happy about those number-collecting mods as they see the numbers are available for other purposes (WG statistics etc.), they don't plan to block the statistics gathering - improved ventilation, BIA etc. do not directly affect gun accuracy, only via the crew skill - Type 62 won't get its old hull back - it's possible other nations will have rotating turret TD's, not only Americans (SS: might refer to Waffenträgers) - 105mm L/100 not planned (not needed)
I always thought that BIA did improve gun accuracy, perhaps I'm thinking of aiming time?
[t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5793726/wotreplay/shot_178.jpg[/t] WHAT THE FUCK WG They add an arty hardcap and the whole MM is fucked up, jesus fuck learn to code.
heh
I tried to make my self an avi from part of this, dunno if it worked. Edit: it didnt. Edit: Got it working.
