It really depends on your play style. I can't play my SU-122-44 for shit because I can't play unarmored tank destroyers. But I can play my KV-5 like a champ, take 60 hits, do 3k damage, and survive at the end. What tanks do you like to play and which ones do you hate?

SU-122-44 has shite armor. The JT 8.8 has the L/71 so it's a really good sniper, and the JT armor at T8 isn't bad. Super pershing has insane armor for a medium, and not everyone knows about it's frontal weak point.

I try to emulate the videos you guys have been posting of the Chi-Ha dominating everything, mostly rushing, ramming, ect.
I can get away with it to a point, usually a larger/higher tier tank one shots me after I get around 3-4 kills.

Try fighting tier 7 or lower mediums, they just ding from you (excluding panther.)
Also with angling, and luck, you can bounce 175+mm shots.

Hard to do when literally all I ever get is T9 matches.
I think a lot of fast tank play, if you're going to be active, depends a lot on knowing the reload times of every gun being used so you can juke their shot just as they're about to fire. It also depends on how good you are at using terrain. Also looking back at them to watch their turret. If you're moving away from a turret rotation, it would be a good idea to turn more to avoid it.
But ELC is my favourite tank.

but relative to its tier, even, its armor's not really too great. 90mm sloped might sound great if most guns at tier 7 (and every tier 8 prem) didn't have 170mm+ pen, which I've found to be plenty enough to pen the frontal arc.
Sure, you could argue that it's on the strong side of Tier 7s and it does wreck face in Tier 7 matches but it has pretty much jack-all for HP, a longer reload time to make up for the alpha damage and not too great accuracy so it's far from hardest nut to crack of all the Tier 7s with similar characteristics. Which makes it fairly balanced as a Tier 7 with its advantages of good speed, good camo and good DPM.

Yeah, and a good amount of time is also spent on aiming compared to normal tanks because you don't have a turret. It might have a high DPM, but it's on the harder side to use correctly because it has meh penetration and accuracy for a T7TD.
Even with a higher statistical DPM, you have to hit [I]and[/I] pen things to do damage so it's not a particularly easy tank to do good in, though it has a higher potential skill-ceiling because of that.
