That's a really weird and kinda jarring way of doing a panel / scene.

It'd look less weird with some damn art in there. I tried to practice yesterday and the result was a variety of deviantArt-esque monsters.

it's not so much the lack of art than the fact that it's all over the place. In a single panel a character enters the scene, is described briefly, greets you, and there's a reflection upon this greeting. [editline]5th February 2012[/editline] What art do you put in there to convey that? Would she be talking? But if she had a talking sprite, it wouldn't match the "stepping towards me" bit. But if you have with a normal sprite as if she'd just entered the scene it wouldn't match anything afterwards.

Well, she'd be smiling, then during her line talking, during the step towards line she'd "get bigger" like in KS, so on
