Is there any KS fan fic that is up to the quality as Closure?
Closure is pretty great. I've only read a few that are on the same level, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. It DOES have its flaws, but I'd call it one of the best KS ending extensions out there.

Started doing another playthrough. I wanted to go for Emi this time but I think I got Shizune. They forced me to join their fucking student council.

I tried to avoid getting arc with people that are close to eachother (for example, doing Rin and Emi's next to eachother, or Hanako's and Lilly's), but ultimately it's up to you. Shizune and Rin have pretty satisfying endings though, so you might want to do them last for a better sense of closure.

Maybe it's just me but Shizune's good ending felt strangely appropriate to her entire arc and not in a good way. Emi and Hanako's endings feel like everything mattered. You get together with Emi or Hanako, seems pretty damn good. And Shizune's good ending has you...graduating and moving on. Hell, Shizune's arc in general seems like they mixed a lot up because there's not a lot of attention to her developing relationship with Hisao compared to other arcs, there's a bigger focus on characters that only exist in her arc that we never even heard of and even the ending felt like everything didn't matter. Hisao goes through the trouble to befriend Shizune, learn sign language, get semi-raped and as a reward they split up? Sorry, that doesn't sound as a good sense of closure to me.
And don't get me started on Rin. If I ever get round to her arc, it won't be because I like her character.

Then again, Shizune is the only one where the ending is actually an end. Shizune and Hisao both graduate, and they both go their seperate ways. They get in a relationship earlier on in the game, and when it ends, so does the relationship, unlike a lot of other arcs where the actual relationship between the girl in question and Hisao seems to begin at the ending which leaves a LOT of things unknown about their future. As for Rin's ending, you don't like the character and that's fine, but you shouldn't immediately dismiss the possibility that her arc could have a good ending. I've heard a lot of people who liked a lot of girls better than Rin, but still thought her arc was executed best out of all of them.
I think shizunes ending was pretty realistic, High school romances don't often hold up.

I'm not dismissing the possibility of Rin having a good ending, I'm just saying I find it kinda hard to connect with an autistic/asperger/whateverthefuckshe'sgot artist whose writing, judging from what I've seen, appears to be the result of a little competition in the writing team called 'who can write the most vague bullshit'.

Rin was confirmed for not having anything like autism or aspergers, some people are kinda weird on their own. Still, Rin's arc gets a lot different from act 2 onwards, it's really not much like her parts in act 1. Still, if you don't like it, that's fine, but I definitely found her arc the most interesting out of all of them.

How about you play the arc instead of judging it before you even know what the fuck it's about.
I'll have to agree on Shizune's arc being a good as a final even though it was far from my favorite. I suppose it isn't as romantic as you might expect from a game like this, but it actually has proper closure unlike most other arcs where you're left wanting more, wondering whatever became of the characters (and their relationship).
