Yet it never really seems to impede from doing anything except running too hard as long as he takes some pills every morning. As far as disabilities go, he's probably the most normal kid in the entire school. To be honest I was more or less wondering why he *had* to go to a specially accommodating school at all, there didn't seem to be any reason why he couldn't have done what he did at a regular one.
I could think of three motives for Hisao (and possibly other students) ending up at Yamaku; 1. Parents are freaking out. From what we learn in the prologue, Hisao's parents seem distraught and concerned to keep him somewhere safer and more disciplined than a traditional school 2. Hisao's medicines (this is explicitly used as a device by the writer). The doctor explains in the prologue that it's uncertain how the medication will work out and what adverse effects it might have 3. Yamaku is a pretty nice, fancier and pretty normal school after all, we know that physical disabilities are not a prerequisite for attending and there are several students without disabilities attending it. But yes, of course it's very much constructed by the writers to create an optimal environment for romance. I'd like to add however, (4. ) Even though the apparent abundance of pretty girls is lampshaded by Kenji, we may have to consider that the writers couldn't possibly include all characters that Hisao would probably interact with during his time at Yamaku. In other narration circumstances Hisao's tale would probably include more of these, and the lampshade would be unnecessary.
Didn't someone had a KS related tulpa before?
There was the MrCreeper guy but all his threads were bullshit.
I bet Yamaku smells like a hospital. I've visited specialty schools like those they always smell like a hospital.
Is it bad to have a girlfriend and still play this game? Because I think of it more as a romance novel than a dating sim, but I need more opinion on this.
As long as you are not in it for the sex scenes. Whats wrong with a romance novel? Either way KS has way too much story to be a dating erotic sex novel IMO.

But for a game about (at least in part) not letting a disability hold you back in life, it seems a bit ironic that all of the girls would be attractive, by the conventions of whatever anime standard the artist was following, if not for their disability.
It's tempting to make one of those 'thread simulator' videos here, except with real voiceover by various people
I'd be game for this, but I've heard from friends that apparently my mic sucks.
I think most everyone does the same thing.
Check the first thread's first few pages. Everyone wanted cripple porn in the beginning.
That one guy who asked if he could use his Hanako experience irl is definitely in
I have an uneasy feeling this was me (Even though I meant it in a completely different way, if ever I did say it)
Check the first thread's first few pages. Everyone wanted cripple porn in the beginning.
That's just disgraceful.
That's just disgraceful.
What made it better was when everyone realized they kept playing for the plot and then broke down and the entire internet felt.
Almost 70 new posts since I was last here, and they're all actual discussion? What in the fuck. I'm going to wait until this time next year before I play again, because I was rather late to the party and didn't play KS until mid this year.
That's just disgraceful.
Thinking a project that came out of 4chan is not going to be played by the majority because "hell yeah cripple hentai" at first is very, very unrealistic. That's why a lot of people play the game, and then they discover that it's mostly well-written to boot. I do agree that Hisao comes under very lucky circumstances meeting five various love interests over a span of three days, but it's not like they're all perfect, just attractive to him. We don't know what they'd look like in real life because they're drawn in an anime style. In fact, he initially describes Rin as "not quite pretty" and "plain", even though her sprites are on the same level as the others. The way Hisao the character percieves them is on a different level than us, the reader, because he's part of the setting and we aren't.

It looked fucking adorable to me because of the way she was drawn, but in actuality she was supposed to look really bad facially but have a nice body [according to Hisao (during the Was she cute or not question)].
I think my favorite kenji quote was: "It's like that movie where there could only be one, and there was one, because that was the whole point."
Kenji is by far my favorite comic relief character of anything ever
Kenji is by far my favorite comic relief character of anything ever
Honestly, during my second playthrough a few days ago, I thought that Kenji wouldn't be as funny any more, seeing as I'd already heard all of his jokes. I was wrong. He's still fucking hilarious.
Well that does it. I just finished replaying Hanako's route and I feel absolutely torn down. It hurts to know when the feels are coming and yet you can not stop them.
Didn't someone had a KS related tulpa before?
http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1202042 Yes, and I have the thread saved in my control panel for whenever LMAO pics has a retarded discussion about trivial things and is not posting content.
Well if he is actually making a thread simulator we should probably start saying weird disgusting fetish-things to make the video entertaining.
The first ~100 pages have that covered
so I just noticed this thread again in popular threads, and I'd like it if someone could tell me how you could possibly have so much to discuss about a singleplayer game that came out over a year ago that everyone who wanted to play it finished within the first month of release. I haven't seen new fanart in months, /v/ stopped posting KS threads, /a/ disowned KS, 4LS is disbanded afaik, and there's nothing left to play. I was definitely a fan of KS and it absolutely left an impact on my life but good god people what left is there to talk about?
Anniversary, a lot of people are replaying it, which sparked new people seeing what the fuss was. Found out my anniversary is the 19th, but can't be fucked to wait that long, time to FINALLY do Emi's route.
I guess the anniversary makes a little bit of sense but I just went back a few pages and it seems like the posting has been fairly steady for quite a while I get it's a good VN and everything, and it was easily the best OELVN ever, but Clannad was great too and you don't see megathreads specifically for it lasting very long. Same with Kira Kira or Deardrops or Yume Miru Kusuri or Little Busters. I understand having waifus and everything but I think KS's fanbase is way too attached to the game itself, especially considering how this is generally considered baby's first VN these days.
Old Gold You should download the entire album, it's pretty good.

Take a visit to /vg/ and you'll see.
Playing through Lilly's route (currently at the beginning of it) and holy shit HISAO IS NOT WHINING LIKE A LITTLE BITCH. With most every other girl it seems like Hisao has to break some sort of barrier but with Lilly Hisao seems pretty stoked on life. So far. I'll get back to you guys on where it goes to shit.
Lilly's arc in general seems to have the best writing.

lilly is a worst girl slut who takes a sandworm in every hole the spice must flow for that skank to be perfectly honest I still haven't even played her route I only did Hanako and [sp]shitzune[/sp]

I fixed it up for you though
I don't get the hate for Shizune. She's not bland, but she's very vanilla. When I think of Katawa Shoujo, she seems to pop into mind, like she's the experience you'd think of when you play the game. [sp]maybe the constant problem of her disability and all the kinky sex have something to do with it I don't know[/sp]
Shizune is my favorite character because she's not some useless broken bird that Hisao needs to save with his sweater vest of valor.
