Shizune arc is best arc. I almost cried at the end.

I almost cried at the Misha part. That's probably the most emotional part of that entire route.

Shizune's arc left me with a feeling of maturity that only Lilly's arc was able to rival (ironic, given how the two characters are connected). The sense of finality I was left with at the end made me sad I didn't play it last, as it would have made a good bookend for the game in general, in my opinion. Unlike the other routes, Shizune's didn't make me cry once, which is something to be said because, again, I didn't play it last, opting for Rin's instead. Overall, though, Misha ended up being the reason I felt anything at all during it (other than my utter contempt for Jigoro, fuck him and his god damn fashion advice); watching her get deconstructed and broken down as the route went on made me feel bad for her, like Hisao was inadvertently replacing her. I am obviously not going to spoil how that turns out because that would defeat the point of me analyzing it, but the inner-circle-type conflict between the three is very interesting. To be honest, people don't give Shizune's arc enough credit, and I do think it's one of the lower points of the game, storytelling-wise, but it can still hold its own very well.

- katawa shoujo? i wonder what this is about - click on thread - NOPE - close thread that was about a week ago, but i felt bad because if i had that attitude with everything i would be a very dull person so i opened this thread up again and had a read through it again and.. even without playing the full game i can tell i'm going to be a fan of this forgive me for being so closed mind'ed i judged this book, er.. visual novel by it's cover and was gravely mistaken as soon as i get a BETTER working PC this will be one of the first things i will download.
