Anybody else notice the rise in suicide rates for men aged 18-24 the day after this game was released?
Trying to keep my post count low but what?

Oh, sorry, it was a joke.

Right over my head :eng101:
I think saya no uta might be more appropriate for you than katawa shoujo based on your post here.
edit: but then again i wrote an affectionate parody of i have no mouth and i must scream using this game for the concept so i'm not really one to talk i guess, i'm only really doing it because i like writing things that evoke reactions from people though
Is it weird that you write the suffering and pain better than the original?
I just realized that KS' soundtrack reminded me how much I love the violin, even though I've never been able to play on it. I enjoy it every time it appears in tunes like Concord or Painful History.
I just finished Shizune's ace for the second time. I enjoyed it more this time since I wasn't in a bad mood like the first time I play it. It still wasn't as emotional as the other paths, but It was still fun. The saddest part was probably [sp]the scene with Misha on the roof, I felt pretty bad for her.[/sp]
But even the second time through I still don't understand what happened in the bad ending. [sp]What happened with Shizune? How did she find out that you lied to her? and why did she all of a sudden decide to break up with Hisao? Everything seemed fine for a while and then all of a sudden Shizune knew that you had lied to her earlier and was all mad about it.[/sp] I feel like I missed something somehow.
I really liked Shizune and Misha's characters though, I think Misha might be one of my favorite characters in the game.
I liked Misha more than Shizune, behind her bubbly one sided character there's [sp]another part of her that's mature, certain of what she wants to do in life and generally seems like an interesting person.
Also she's lesbian
or bi idk
:o[/sp]
One Act away from finishing the game. I'm on Shizune's third act.
My god, Lilly's inspired so many feels. :unsmith:

I think she never really found out, she just became [sp]depressed and thought the best way to stop herself from hurting others was to completely shut herself off from them[/sp]
Also, Misha looks really different in [sp]her sex scene[/sp] than she does in her ingame sprites, and it's not just her hair.
Remember cplcrud? He just released a blogpost explaining that he is most likely not going to write any more KS stories.
Blogpost
Kind of disappointing since I really loved his stories but it's up to him if he wants to go on or not after all.
Aw :c

The more they say that they aren't going to make a sequel the more i'm determined to change their minds.
Edit: wrote a comment on his blog, asking for his blessing to make a sequel. A game hasn't inspired my creativity this much since the tales series.
Oh my god they're not going to make a sequel and you guys have full grounds to make your own fan sequels, this isn't rocket science - go nuts.
I know they probably won't, it never hurts to ask, and the whole blessing thing was and is simply a formality if anything
i'm also contacting him because i want to find out what tools he/they used to make it i.e engine
So many lilly avatars.

I'm working on one.
What's happened to Broujo might I ask?
I got a few ideas for Akira developing
I think one of the reasons this game made me so happy was because I needed it. I'd become disillusioned, jaded against the real world because I'm in a transitional period in my life and I feel hopelessly lost. I had nothing interesting in my life at about the time I played KS, and everything was chaotic with me scrambling to find out just what I want to do with my life and what I was going to do after school, and I was about ready to just give up, but then I found something to believe in.
KS showed me that life really is worth living, and what you decide to do with it matters. I was just about ready to go downtown and hop right in front of a Grayhound but then something as simple as a visual novel about disabled girls changed all that. By the end of my first playthrough I believed in Hisao as a person because he turned into the guy that got the girl based on what I told him to do, and I thought, if he can change, why can't I change? Why can't I forget my past and live for the future? And then I decided that, maybe I could.
So I did! The next day, I put my thoughts into practice and refined my personality to basically a fine point, taking the necessary steps to get out of whatever pit I'd fallen into, and it worked surprisingly well. I didn't have a single bad thought as I replayed KS night after night to make the girls and Hisao and myself even happier, and I felt even more uplifted when I finally finished it and realized just how much I'd accomplished that week.
I'd basically turned my life right around on its heel and it was all thanks to a good story I downloaded from the internet. I just can't get over how much the game affected me, it's so strange but so comforting. I was once told by my last girlfriend (ironically the one that started my depression in the first place) that I was emotionally weak, and I needed to change or I would just stay a doormat for my whole life, and Katawa Shoujo gave me the motivation I needed to do something about it. I became a happier person, I smiled more often, I exercise on a regular basis, I'm more socially outreaching, I got a raise at work; it just never stops.
So, that's my story. I think I told it in the last thread too. It makes me a little sad to see that people are actually getting MORE saddened by the game but there's not much I can do about that I guess. All I can do is tell you not to let Hisao's new life bother you, because you're the one controlling it in the first place!
This is going to sound dumb, but this game is helping me move on from my recently-made ex girlfriend.
;34541935']So many lilly avatars.
~I'm in heaven~
I'd also change mine, but I can't think of any nice picture, so I'll stick with the current one.
I should probably ask cplcrud for some additional info on Hanako for my comic and shit
so far this is what i worked out
Hisao-Rin If daughter rins disability>if child is boy hisaos
Hisao-Emi > both daughter and son would carry hisaos disabilty
Hisao-hanako > both carry hisaos disability
Hisao-lilly> if daughter carrys lilly's blindness > if son carrys Hisaos aryrithmia
Hisao-Shizune> both would carry a lighter form of hearing problems and some sort of breathing/heart difficulty > child is also childhood friend of shiina's daughter
Most of these are draft stage ideas, the main focus is that all the original characters have a child male or female with a disability that lands them in Yamaku highschool

wat
^ p. much
Draft stage ideas for the sequel i've started. Long story short, If you choose Lilly's arc in the first game, she's the mother of the player's character in the second game etc etc
Lilly/[sp]Shizune[/sp]'s family's genes are terrible, I'd feel sorry for Shizune's kids :v:
Live scriptwork for my hanako comic going down right now, right here.

supa secret script section
"HISAO MEETS DYSENTERY THE FUCKING CHICKEN PART ONE
Hisao walks into a dark shack, with a shotgun in hand. He turns on a small lamp, illuminating his prisoner. The prisoner, a large white chicken with a wig peculiarly similiar to Misha's hair, sits in a corner, attempting to engage in a staring contest with Hisao.
Hisao of course couldn't give less of a fuck. Placing his shotgun on the table, he grabs some rope, and proceeds to tie up his defenseless prisoner in a somewhat sexually comprimising position.
Hisao: Who's the daddy, Hen?
Hisao grins, as he lifts up an axe. With one feel swoop, off comes the chicken's head. Unfortunately, this physical exertion also triggers Hisao's heart, and with a loud HNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG, he falls dead next to his prey.
The end."
what a romantic story :'(
