Oh joy, another reason to be afraid of sheets.
But on a more serious note, I still have AW2, and after seeing this, I think I may want to play it again.. despite its horror.

What's so bad about it?

Just the control scheme. A bit blocky. I have it for PS3.
Am i the only one that liked Advanced War Fighter? Well part 2 at least, those snipers fucked me over.
Multiplayer was bullshit though, grenade launchers were greater than everything in the damn game.
I enjoyed Ghost Recon: AW2 and Rainbow Six Vegas 2... But ofcourse, RSV2 was the only game I've played in that series, I've player GRAW2 and the first Ghost Recon in that series. I'd like to see a WW2 shooter in Ghost Recon style, there aren't really any mordern good WW2 shooters out there.
is it just me or do they kinda look like geth....
GRAW didn't feel too futuristic, the computer targeting linked up squad system sure, but it's theorically possible. We have Computer targeting already. Having some funky camera system would be annoying but not impossible.
The weapons in the game are either current day now, in testing/replacing when it was released, or expierments (such as the XM8) they're really not fictional super "future" weapons. They're all real-life. Or hell, even current day when it was released
(M9, G18)
Personally, I don't mind modern day games either, but we're just going through a trend, it will problaby go to this semi-futuristic, than fully futuristic, than perhaps back to WW2, or some past time period and loop over.
I don't see your point, you just reiterated that a futuristic game is not a bad thing and we do have a lot of modern warfare games.
I think it looks cool, but I haven't played the others.
I'm assuming this is set much further into the future than GRAW.

Mass Recon: Advanced Geth-Fighter.

That the game isn't really futuristic at all and simply takes modernday expiremental weapons and real ones and puts them into what if situations.
If it's not a First Person Shooter, I'll stick to RS: Vegas or OF: Dragon Rising, thank you.
More like it started with GR2 when they decided to turn it into some over-the-shoulder third person shooter with minimal squadplay.
Ghost Recon 2 IMO was awful.

Not to be critical of your taste in games but OF:Dr was awfull. Vegas was bearable but too arcadey.

I like OF:DR. It is great fun with friends against friends on full army battles.

16 v 16 isn't really "full army", even if it does have these AI bots under your command.
I know GRAW 2 wasn't a classic Ghost Recon game per se, at least not on par with the first, but it was fucking awesome as a squad based shooter (on the 360, pc version was just terrible).
Oh cool , star wars looking soldiers.
