It felt as if they put in a girl because... because they needed one single girl. They also needed one black character, but that was fixed in l4d2. L4d2 still has one female... because they needed one female.

So where would the campaign start? Shaun's house, or would it be a "survival arena" type thing?

I literally cannot click the Winner rating hard enough. This looks like it's gonna be fantastic (and also I am a huge Shaun of the Dead fan so double points for that).

There will be a 3 level campaign mode that starts at Shaun's and progress through various locations from the movie including the convenient store, Mum's house, Lizz's flat and many other locations that were either seen or mentioned in the film. There will be lots of good stuff for casual fans as well as those that have seen the commentaries multiple times. The Winchester level is being designed for a dual purpose. It can be played through in Campaign mode or it will be able to be played on its own in Survival mode. Pick your fancy.
