Today’s tasks:
+ Added more stats to the web site. It currently claims everyone bought the game yesterday, but that’ll fix itself within 20 hours or so.
+ Lava will set fire to flammable materials.
+ All items and enemies can catch on fire.
+ Made gathering resources 50%, but:
+ Added shovels, pickaxes and axes to gather different materials 400% faster
+ Added apples. Right click to eat.
+ Added flint and steel. Right click to ignite.
+ Islands have way more sand now.

If you try to drop an item from your inventory you can keep clicking and you can drop an infinite amount.

Notch is also planning to add machinery like switches, pressure plates, wires, logic gates and doors to name a few.
Minecraft is shaping up to be a fucking awesome game.
Maybe we can re-invent dwarven engineering from Dwarf Fortress and apply it to Minecraft slowly.

If doors can open sideways and move to a set distance then just make a bunch of doors in the shape of a car (considering they're blocks).
