We griefed my tower, was fun.
I'm not sure how that counts as griefing then.
imageshack is such a shit uploading site
Why? The pictures there, isn't it?
another pic of the tower [editline]03:26AM[/editline]
Why? The pictures there, isn't it?
the popups
Why? The pictures there, isn't it?
it's slow
I've been doing some building in my spare time, now that I've really gotten in to the game. I'll probably try multiplayer at some point, but I'm having too much fun by myself at the moment. :v: I've been in a serious H.P. Lovecraft hitch, and so I've been dedicating my time to building a massive underground stone complex. It's nestled in a canyon, and quite hard to find. I'll have pictures up before too long, right after I figure out how to work my way around this massive cave full of lava. (It's seriously deep. I've gotten lost in it on more than one occasion. :ohdear: )
I want to see...
Why? The pictures there, isn't it?
It makes thumbnails and is very slow.
I made it a thumbnail on purpose. Unless you want a 1280x800 image to load every time you open this page?
-snip- Nothing to see here, move along.
Media tags don't work with pictures anymore.
I guess I'll just post the pictures then. The entryway, nestled smack in the middle of 3 sheer cliff walls and a small forest. It's quite hard to find. The stairs make about 3-4 turns through solid rock before reaching a natural underground cavern. An unfinished area. I have my attention focused on slightly more pressing matters (lava) at the moment. The main room, carved out of an underground cave I found by sheer accident. I took the natural design of the caverns in to consideration during construction. There's a lot of stairs and a few overlooking bridges and balconies More rooms, carved in to the caves. It's going to be easy to get lost soon. My current obstacle: A massive lava pool that's 6 layers deep in some of the more shallow areas, and stretches beneath the ground in every direction for some distance. I have my work cut out for me. :ohdear:
My vps's internet died for a while and just now came back up. The server will be up once the levels are done saving.
Holy shit
Earth was apparently griefed once or twice. [editline]12:12AM[/editline] but yeah that's pretty kickass
just a few things I made on venn's server. sorry for the image size.
i greifed some dudes tower because everyone was a douchebag when I asked how to noclip
*disco nazi gospel* just a few things I made on venn's server. sorry for the image size.
fuck yes
i greifed some dudes tower because everyone was a douchebag when I asked how to noclip
It's justifiable if you mean fly-around noclip. If you mean go through things noclip, then yeah they had a right to get pissed because you can go through adminite.
Here's a few more pictures before I go to bed. A rather large room. There's a LOT of hallway between here and the areas I showed in the previous screenshots. This is the room surrounding... The underground lake. I extended the depth to the bottom of the level (surprisingly, not far) and built a path over it. There's still a lot more lake further ahead that I need to fill in or do something with.
fuck yes It's justifiable if you mean fly-around noclip. If you mean go through things noclip, then yeah they had a right to get pissed because you can go through adminite.
i just wanted to move fast so it didn't take 10 mins to get to where they were
Okay yeah then it's perfectly justifiable. Also, some reassurance from Notch that Multiplayer will be buy-only during beta:
Multiplayer mode will be paid only at beta. If this ends up being the wrong decision, I will change it, of course. But it would solve a lot of problems, and also help ease the game in for the release.
WIP tower of gay, i'll finish it tommorow
Rated optimistic, just like I said I would. :3:
Bümp Surprised nothing's been griefed too badly in venn's server so far.
I gotta' say, one little feature that caught me off guard was the ability to save maps to the hard drive. It'll be fun giving my map to friends and letting them tool around in it. Really looking forward to coming updates, that's for sure.
So basicly this is blockland with only one block? :
So basicly this is blockland with only one block? :
what are you trying to say?
He thinks that there's only one block type (textures excluded) and he is partially right. There's water, lava and half-height blocks in addition to the various types of normal block.

You seem like a damn nice guy.
Also, Dalndox, you should seriously consider another colour/texture scheme in your dungeon. Plain rock is really boring. You could also shape hallways in a different way, like "curving" the ceiling or something.
Sorry for being AFK Mikkel, I'm on now if you want let in. [editline]11:14AM[/editline] In fact, I just OP'd you.
