it started me at the bottom, front door floating in front of oblivion.
It was a bitch to climb... and before you say I flew (because I look like I'm floating), I built a bridge out of stones and deleted them as I went so you could see the screen better.
but... if I ever hosted my own server with the final release, I'd do this. It's really cool, and I bet a few players could turn it into something wicked-awesome.

the lava is from a small cave I was GOING to hollow out and try Rubs's lighting method, but in my overzealous fast digging I went straight for making a cascading lava flow, and it backfired, filled the cave, and I barely managed to open up the wall and get to high ground before it got to me. the lava then continued down the spiral staircase I burrowed up the inside of the mountain with, I guess... and... yeah.

I hate to say it guys, but the server has been griefed again, Turbine, the blimp, and many sprites have been hit hard, and the vennobaun and mine have been flooded, not sure what else has been hit as of yet.

there is the last backup I made a couple of days ago, I joined tonight sometime around 10ish central, but the server was fine, when I came back it was trashed.. the logs might help to piece this together.
I got on shortly after shadow did (I've been away for a few days). Here's a list of some of the things that got hit.
I'm trying to do repairs right now.
Anyway, here's the list and some of the damages.
Turbine (shredded pretty badly)
Blimp (swiss cheesed)
Vennobaun (flooded)
Chapel (flooded)
Mindflayer sprite (carved down the middle)
:v: (FU carved in it)
Black Mage (DIE carved in it)
Multiple SMB sprites (swiss-cheesed)
The "dargon" (some damage)
The Mining Ship (Gay carved in cargo bay. hole was flooded too)
My Cthulhu Cube (flooded)
That's all I've seen thus far.
I just got re-opped, but I didn't do dat.
I patched up some minor holes in sprites, whatever I could just guess and have look good, as well as some repairs to turbine, although I started to desync a lot, so I've stopped for now.
Hopefully I can get on tomorrow when there are more people and help rebuild.

I FINALLY find some emerald after hours of searching for it, so I press the button to open the crafting menu. It didn't work, so I figured Notch went ahead and put it in inventory to streamline it. I open it up... and found that it was now 2x2, which means I CAN'T MAKE TOOLS WITH MY EMERALDS.

Sorry about sneaking into Black Mesa guys, I just wanted to take a peak.
Minecraft is kinda fun, especially when I start to make huge ass tunnels and caves underground, Then later people would go underground and find these huge tunnels and they usually said "Wtf? How did I miss this?" and on occasion they'd say "Look at the tunnel I made"
