I was thinking this, haven't tried it yet.
W=Wood

My treasury, those small holes have lava in them. The chests contain mushrooms.

YOU ENTER THE DREADED DOMAIN OF HALP, WHAT DO YOU DO?
Me and my friend(s) are creating Mordor.
And now Isengard and The Shire.
Too bad you can't make towers very tall, Sauron's eye looks ridiculous.
Anyone have any idea what digs better, gold or diamond?
I'd assume the order of worst to best is wood, iron, gold, emerald
I think there all the same speed atm
Gold would be crap IRL though compared to Iron or Steel.
GSG g = gunpowder
SGS s = sand
That makes no fucking sense.
Agreed.
I want to be able to smelt sand with a bowl of a water into glass.
[editline]04:35PM[/editline]
Quality range is Wood, Rock, Iron, Diamond, Gold (apparently) but there's no difference.
When is indev going multiplayer?
That makes no fucking sense.
well, dynamite is comprised of sawdust or an absorbent sand soaked in nitroglycerin... so the sand plus explosive material makes sense.
Black powder by itself is an explosive that most people are aware of... plus the fact that you can't craft up an advanced hazmat chemistry set to make nitroglycerin :v:
So the wick comes out of thin air?
Venn it is a game.
BM is cleared of water, couldnt find leak.
So the wick comes out of thin air?
set the entire thing on fire, who needs a wick? :v:
set the entire thing on fire, who needs a wick? :v:
Perfect answer.

Not until the game goes into beta
You can read more on the development blog, or here.
I'm focusing hard on getting the game to beta, so there will be no more updates to the alpha version of the game until the game reaches beta.
Aghhhhhh
I had everything in indev, Ample supplies of dynamite, a huge cave with more than enough minerals to last forever (including diamond), stockpiles of hundreds of rock and planks, tunnels stretching across the map, and multiple well stocked crafting stations.
And lost all of it because i fell into lava while building a bridge.

One thing I've learned in years of doing massive projects on unstable betas of complicated programs:
SAVE. often. building a bridge over something that might kill you? Save before you start. Unleashing a flow of lava that might accidentally flood your entire base, trap you, and if you're stupid enough, slowly back you into a corner until you die? Save before planting the lava box. Finish building your completely safe base's new addition? Save anyways, you might walk outside and get mobbed by a random pack of frog girls that weren't there before.
I hate those freakin' NPCs that run around. I've been trying to keep them away from my house, but they CONTINUE to spawn near, around and in it. They end up in my mining caves too. I gotta' figure out some way of keeping them away from me.

We can't save yet in /indev/.

Lava moats and traps. It's the only way.
It appears that the sound system that the indev is using is what's preventing me from playing. This is what the java console looks like just before crashing:
Loaded image: (the indev logo url)
Loaded image: (a .jar file)
Loading: net.java.games.input.DirectAndRawInputEnvironmentPlugin
Starting up SoundSystem
Initializing LWJGL OpenAL
(For more information, see http://www.lwjgl.org
I checked that website, but couldn't find anything relevant. Any java wizards know what's going on?
Do you have OpenAL?
Gentlemen, I present to you something I'm sure we all can enjoy, also, for those who want to destroy crap, it is heaven. I give you my griefing server. Feel free to dig out WoM's copy of BM and destroy it, or study it for ideas. But the whole point of the server is to just destroy everything.

Somehow i managed to get a surfaced diamond vein within walking distance of my spawn box
Lack of sponges has made me ragequit /indev/ three times, now.
gah, BM is flooded again... and someone carved a cave with the letters FU in it too...
[editline]06:00PM[/editline]
also there is some minor griefing to BM itself as well.... whoever did this, has been griefing our shit before, and they love putting FU everywhere.
