tried it, got prepared and everything, SSSSS BOOM, on the way down [editline]2nd March 2011[/editline] someone should make a list of what is good to have when you go down there. I got a full explosion from a creeper the first day, would it be worth my time to massacre a cow herd?

And, before you go down, make sure you have at least- 16 logs one stack of sand. a handful of saplings a sword (preferably stone) a pickaxe (preferably stone) a hoe (for seeds, grab them before going down) as many porkchops as you can find. pumpkins, if you can find them.

spent all day gathering wood and food went below see my arch nemesis waiting for me in the darkness: [media]http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/624/creeperinthedarkness.png[/media] near death i clamber around in the darkness, and i find some coal! and below that some iron! i make myself a forge quickly and start cooking some food before making a stone pick to get the iron i go back down the pit to get the iron, standing on top of the block i mine my first iron triumphantly and drop through to a cavern beneath it [media]http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/3198/gameoverc.png[/media] god damnit.

Quickly rushed down set up a jack-o-lantern perimeter and began to hold down the fort. After I cleared through all of the zombies and skeletons I went out to mine some iron for some more advanced tools. Eventually end up back at camp and right when I start up the furnace SSSSSSSSSSS boom. The floor caved in revealing it's molten center, which was my eventual downfall.

I managed to survive enough to craft myself 2 buckets (1 for lava (source of light) and 1 for water) and also an iron sword. Then a creeper appeared and killed me. :saddowns:

Tried, got arrowed as soon as I went down the waterfall and couldn't go down due to it, died.

Didn't even make it out of the water.

Holy fuck this is a lot harder than I expected. First try gathered a record 59 logs of wood, made myself a sword and a pickaxe, chopped away the gravel, rode the waterfall, and hit a creeper dead on before I even made it to the bottom and instantly died. Second try I did the same, but didn't get creepered, got an iron pickaxe and sword, but got shot up by 4 skeletons with no armor and healing items. Fuck.

I surived 2 min after i was goed down in the cave... 1 creeper, 1 man, 1 life.

I had a great base set up in the lava area to the right of the bottom. Glass floor with lava underneath, redstone torches, trees, farms. But I needed more iron... I ventured out into the darkness only to get sky fucked by two zombies. Death was quick and painless. [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] I didn't see one creeper. Oddly enough..

The 404 seed isn't working for me. Anyone else? NEVERMIND I sorted it

Oh COME ON! Just when I hit the ground after the waterfall, I got chased by a spider, several zombies and a skeletton. After killing them all, I jumped down from like a hight of 3 blocks to get closer to an other section with light, and died. I am saying fuck a lot, and I am sounding like a retarded 12 year old. I tried this just now, but the lack of light is driving me nuts. Also I understanding mining isn't allowed, but can I trim into stone and such while setting up my "camp"? Also are we allowed to use the Nether? I just thought; If all our wood got wet, but we then make a tree farm underground, Are we then allowed to make torches using [I]that wood[/I]?

Thanks for bumping this, I heard about it and wanted to give it a shot. [editline]2nd April 2011[/editline] Found a creeper in a pit so I poured lava on him and left him to burn, he swam up out of it and got me.
