Dante's Inferno Megathread! - Games

No-no-no. There are a few similar things. One guy says it'll make a great video game while refering to the general theme. And the other guy refers to the actual narrative.

So I got the book today, been reading a couple of pages and it's not that bad so far but even I have a hard time understanding a few words.

Although to be fair, the pillar does look a lot like a penis in that realm. I guess that anything like a pillar or shaft in Lust is bound to look like a ruddy great PINGAS.

I like how the boss in Violence is your best friend.

Finished watching Violence and it looks sweet. I love how the levels and the art work are in this game.

I heard if you like God of War, you'll like this. It's apparently a carbon copy of it. Which is either good or bad.

lololol. It's exactly the same. Except he searches for his girlfriend instead of avenging his family. Dante: Cruisader who is vigerous and the best in the business. Dead lover by his own fault. Wears symbol of his sins. Goes through hell to find his girl. Kratos: Spartan who is vigerous and the best in the business. Dead family by his own doing. Wears their ashes as a symbol of his sin. Goes through Hades and beyond to avenge his families death.

Well God of War has about as loose an interpretation of Greek history and mythology as this game has of the Divine Comedy

Just finished the demo. It's pretty fun, might check it out, but at the same time I can't help but have this overpowering feeling this is a "down to the tee" rip-off of God of War, formula and gameplay wise. Hell, even the camera movements when "hinting" where to go next play out exactly the same. Still, might tide my interest over until God of War III. I'll wait for the reviews though.

I was impressed mostly by the extremely steady framerate, which god of war 3 hasn't been able to pull off yet (as of the E3 demo, I'm sure they fixed it by now, but can't really know for sure)
