You can still close doors manually with E, right?
I remember this one time my friend and I were standing at the door to Onos bar, he was standing in the doorway, I was watching the door. This fade comes and I tell my friend to get on the side of this door just as the fade is blinking across the room to us. Once he gets through I manual override the door, close it, and the fade smacks right into it.
It was damn hilarious.

224 patch gave me a HUGE fucking performance boost. It is awesome.
With the latest patch I got 30fps with shadows on but 100+ with them off.
The last patch made it so that the server doesn't influence your framerate anymore, so good pc should do better now, if you allready had like 20 fps before it won't help you much.

This looks almost exactly like something I was working on in the first Natural Selection.
I don't think I have any screenshots of it though...
I installed NS2 again (since I reinstalled win 7 since I last played) and all I have to say is holy fuck.
It runs great maxed out now, theres all new effects, hit detection seems more spot on, voice commands have a commo rose, server browser is actually functional (and looks pretty badass), and things just...work.
What the fuck, UWE? where did you store this magic polish all throughout the beta? A couple of builds now is all it takes to make it feel like an actual solid game?

I'm hankering for an extra copy of this but all I would be able to offer is a copy of dota2, and a beta of a f2p game isn't much of an incentive.

I thought DI wasn't going to be in until after 1.0? I mean, Max is rumored to have something infestation related to be in, but we don't really know what it is. Actual 3D mesh I believe is 1.0 for sure.
Type in "Natural Selection 2 Release Date" into google and it says the release date was 2010.
does anyone know if there will be a preload?
