Does anyone else hit 99% gpu usage on the mineshaft level?
Love playing as a lerk, I haven't done it much but I literally just spent an entire match doing fly-by's on marines using the spores attack (think that is the gas cloud ability). Also, perching on a high ceiling looking down on marines and seeing one walk off on his own .. Christ I love this game
Just bought it. Can't play it. Every server I try to join gives me a "couldn't connect to server" error.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Rkqlu.jpg[/t] hmm no wonder it sometimes looks like the marine is shooting me from their butt
Nothing more satisfying then an 8 man exo-rush.
Nothing more satisfying then an 8 man exo-rush.
Yes, there is nothing more satisfying than an 8 man exo rush for aliens... Free wins are cheap but well... if people want to give away their game. How long did it take them to rush your base and take out CCs ? You know, 30 seconds ? 50 seconds ?

decent after playing a few rounds, shame its always almost a stomp for one team as everyone wants to stack in a game without stats :rolleye:
I'm such a team-player. Fuck my life, I live for the hive. "Oh, hey buddy skulk! You in trouble man? No worries, let me shield your precious body with my own. I'll gladly lay down my life for you. Tell the hive I love her and I hope she doesn't mourn my death too much!" This over and over. Fuck trying to prolong my own life or get a good kill / death ratio. My life is forfeit if ending it can achieve the better good for the hive. Extractor gotta be taken out? I'm on it. Marines charging our hive and the other skulks are too self-conscious of their stupid kill / death ratio to fight the marines off? I'll happily charge in and try and make the marines fall back. Frontline in dire need of a Gorge to help build things faster? Lemme evolve into the fat-shit Gorge and belly-slide my booty to the frontlines to help out. Honestly see too many Alien players so self-conscious about their kills. They'll lie in wait whilst a fellow Skulk is attacking marines, instead of running in to help. With the Lerk and Fade, it's understandable to hold back, it costs a lot of resources to evolve into one, but as a Skulk, I just don't get it. It annoys me when team mates are holding back time and time again to save their own skin. Despite everything, I love Aliens.

Seem to lose games just because people think dying as a skulk is bad so marines push forward the entire game without getting harassed at all.

You're dead for like - what, 5 seconds? 10 tops? It's pathetic. For Marines, I can understand them being a bit more hesitant, but for Skulks, it's just disgraceful. Hive should banish them or something. Smear a "I'm such a shithead" pheromone on them so the rest of the hive knows what a douche they are. [editline]7th November 2012[/editline] I take Aliens way too seriously. This can't be good for my mental health.
apparently crouching marines in vents get 1 shot by skulks. just 1 shot 2 lonely marines trying to hide from 3 onos.
apparently crouching marines in vents get 1 shot by skulks. just 1 shot 2 lonely marines trying to hide from 3 onos.
they were probably already wounded.
i wish gorge had more deployable stuff
I have found that the aliens are quite fun to play. Being able to ambush marines by dropping from the ceiling as a skulk is fun :)
i wish gorge had more deployable stuff
Eh, I quite prefer NS2 gorge to NS1. Playing Sim City in an FPS wasn't fun to me.
I have found that the aliens are quite fun to play. Being able to ambush marines by dropping from the ceiling as a skulk is fun :)
I love running behind the marines as a Fade before penetrating them violently
I just can't play as Alien. Even if i'm a winning team, I get no kills or anything, and I rake up the most deaths. :\
There is one map where the marines usually spawn in a little building next to a landing platform, in the glass up on the marines roof is a hole where you can shoot through directly at the enemy power as Lerk. It is hilarious.
I always giggle when Skulks are taking out power sockets. It always looks like the power socket is being humped to death.
If only the "test mod" option in launchpad actually worked!
I really like Hugh. Hes such a cool and a nice guy to both old and new players
apparently crouching marines in vents get 1 shot by skulks. just 1 shot 2 lonely marines trying to hide from 3 onos.
It's so satisfying when you surprise a marine with Onos and they desperately try to jump into the vent and you land a hit or two on them. Then when they finally make it in their state of panic, you land the killing blow and they fly far into the vent.
feels harsh when you're a dual exo and they apparently cant afford anything but skulks. rip skulks. anyone think the shades are annoying? there a reason it has to hide the infestation too? it just looks tacky when infestation is appearing and disappearing in combat
Dual exos are easy to take out if you're a group of Skulks, especially if the exos aren't backed up by Marines. So what are you talking about?
feels harsh when you're a dual exo and they apparently cant afford anything but skulks. rip skulks. anyone think the shades are annoying? there a reason it has to hide the infestation too? it just looks tacky when infestation is appearing and disappearing in combat
Dude I can't count how many times I've walked into a room, thought it was clear, and then I bumped into a structure and it flashed into existence for a second, and I just fucking froze. Scares me every time.
anyone think the shades are annoying? there a reason it has to hide the infestation too? it just looks tacky when infestation is appearing and disappearing in combat
Yes, to hide the fact that their may be a forward healing outpost or whatever it may be the aliens have in an area. It's very useful for the Aliens.
