yes
aliens also need to see tres / what the comm is placing imo
I always wondered that, why can't I see tres on Aliens? It's not exactly unfair to know it.
fade with stealth upgrade and regenerate is fun to play. It's so easy to kill marines when their focus is the skulk on their power so they never expect the fade to jump them before they even turn the corner.
just feels like in a close game its pointless though and just save for onos :l
I almost never save for Onos anymore, because it seems when I do, the comm has a lot of team res and will usually drop 1 or 2 Onos eggs around the time I get 75 res.
Fade is really fun to play, my favorite along with the skulk.
Just played my first game as a marine commander and actually won. Compared to alien commander it's surprisingly fun since you have some actual control over your team beyond placing a single marker and having everyone run there when only half or less of the team is needed in that location.
Look at your map to see where the buildings are, or the top left corner of the screen when something is placed, the t-res is shown in the tab score, but yeah, should be directly onscreen like marines.
i meant upgrades

Its undeniable that onos is vital for aliens to win the game. Dont underestimate the value lerks and fades have though. Their presence earlier in the game can be vital to disrupt marine operations and to hold map control. Without either of tuose, the momentum is lost and even an onos or two wont be able to turn the tide against the probably entrenched marines
Also, i hate typing on my phones standareld keyboard.
I hope they fix the """red plug""" disconnection issues soon, as I wanna see how well this game works with 18 (eighteen!!) ping from Multiplay's servers
Its fixed in the next patch which is due later today or tommrow
one frustrating thing is that anyone with 150+ ping seems to teleport all over like crazy compared to other games.

doesn't say % of games won by each team? i've heard it's really even tho
still the ns2 forums are filled with people whining over op/nerf
The complaints about op stuff the people must be shit or playing on the wrong servers, nothing in this game screams imbalance to me cause I've won my fair share of games with both teams
Skill is also important - I mean, if you can take down the most powerful marine unit as the least powerful alien unit...
anyone else get really shit latency even if the server is like
right next to them
is this a bug or an issue on my end
anyone? I can't play the game like this
Skill is also important - I mean, if you can take down the most powerful marine unit as the least powerful alien unit...
Skill levels seem to be all over the place. Recall killing 2 shotgun marines as a skulk without taking a hit and then you get the guy sniping you with a pistol the entire lava falls distance while you're running all over the place with celerity.
anyone? I can't play the game like this
should be fixed next patch
Some people on the NS2 forums are just ridiculous. There's a guy who says the game isn't as good as NS1, and also it's not different enough and broken, and then rants about he should be getting a refund because the game hasn't changed into something different since he got the beta, and then when someone asks him why he hates the game so much, he goes on a rant about how everyone who plays the game thinks it's shit and then asks the poster he's responding to why he cares what he thinks.

oh god I ran into one of those kind of people in my first NS2 match. His name was m34 or some shit like that and wouldn't stop bitching and complaining about how terrible the game was. He said he wanted a refund but wouldn't do so until he played as marine.
So one of the dudes on the marine team swap onto aliens and m34 goes marine commander, and does absolutely jackshit and loses us the game.
people like this make me mad

Ha, the people who say they hate something publicly then wonder why people are responding asking why they hate it.
Damn this is a good surprise game to go with my usual Dota2 and rare occasion BF3..
And I fucking love being the alien flying thingy with toxic cloud.
When pushing Marine fortifications around the map, I just bursted in and circled around every where, every corner with helpless Marine soldiers with their backs to the wall, leaving no fucking breathing space. Then on the way out to regen I just got so many slow humiliating kills from the Marines, it was glorious.

This doesn't happen often.
I miss hand grenades. I can see why they took them out though.
This doesn't happen often.
well, there was the equivalent of a mob rioting in the comment section of that review.
I got NS2 for ~£3 anyway (ages ago, when I preordered overgrowth!) so tbh I've already got ""my moneys worth"" from this

that happened to me too :v:
did you go for the com chair pre-round?
that happened to me too :v:

If I recall, it was some freak accident involving an Onos and a door. I got stomped whilst walking through the door and suddenly I was down there. :v:
i wish they would implement a ranked 6v6 mode or at least an in-game league with the top ~5 teams being invited to a tournament or something.
just had a great 90 min game, i was comming and controlled 3 tech points for almost the entire game. even tho everyone listened and followed orders we ended up dead because the entire alien team consisted of onoses and gorges
