just had a great 90 min game, i was comming and controlled 3 tech points for almost the entire game. even tho everyone listened and followed orders we ended up dead because the entire alien team consisted of onoses and gorges
Yeah, we were pretty much just beaconing from one base to the other at the end. :v: Really fun though, rare to have such a long game happen.
Bugs me that then "Natural Causes" death isn't "Natural Selection". Make more sense that suicide kind of is really natural selection.
This game makes me want to throw away my cherry MX blue keyboard. Every time I play the flying alien my house is full of CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK
Guys lets... All go exo and go to lava falls. shame because we were up on RTs and map coverage but that retarded choice of my team lost the game. hate that map myself for some reason.
map is skewed towards aliens a bit

It'll let you glide (look down to go faster, up to slow down but gain height) and there will be no more CLACK CLACK.
There really is no need to flap unless you need to get higher or quickly get away
There really is no need to flap unless you need to get higher or quickly get away
If by get away you mean speed up, yes.
If by get away you mean speed up, yes.
I generally find it easier and more controlling to just glide through areas than having to flap all the time to get slightly more speed
I generally find it easier and more controlling to just glide through areas than having to flap all the time to get slightly more speed
Gliding is awesome. Only time I flap flap flap is when I'm getting shot the fuck up and have to high-tail it outta the area. I always laugh cause I can't help but be reminded of a frantic chicken trying to escape.
Lerks range attacking lava falls from their hive at containment(?). Most annoying fuckers ever.
map is skewed towards aliens a bit
Until marines get jetpacks, then it gets a bit more level.
Intense 8 vs 8 match this afternoon. I decided to walk around the other side of the map and managed destroy the marine command station, on my own, without having evolved. Cheapest victory ever.
Intense 8 vs 8 match this afternoon. I decided to walk around the other side of the map and managed destroy the marine command station, on my own, without having evolved. Cheapest victory ever.
Games like that are funny, when every single marine pushes and leaves their main alone can deal so much damage. Had a game where for 10 minutes of solo harass I was making the enemy commanders life a misery. Forgot the map but some part you can get on the ceiling marines cant hit you and I probably killed 10+ infantry portals and never allowed an observatory to be built and every time the comm would try and kill me he would fail.
I was waiting to join a game with 2 of my friends. 20 minutes later, slot finally opened and it started connecting. Steam farted and Friends went offline. "Authentication Timed Out" "Authentication Timed Out" "Authentication Timed Out" "Server is full" Goddammit.
servers full up quicker then a hooker on a work night, it's best to join a half empty server with friends
I had an amazing game lastnight. Was on the Marines and we had about two or three Comm. Stations when out of the blue my entire team was dead and two of the Marine locations were overrun by aliens. I was the last survivor and initially was going to return to base to help defend. Instead I decided to turn around and go back to the only Marine location still (relatively secure) and build an IP the Comm dropped before his ultimate death. My body was shaking as I built the IP and my heart stopped when I heard the clicks of skulks in the other room. Luckily I was greeted with a few spawned team-mates and we took them down. I jumped in the Comm Chair and built an armory and some more necessary things before I returned to duty. A few minutes later we rushed three of their hives and destroyed them with NO EXO'S! [editline]9th November 2012[/editline] 'twas epic. I always loved these moments in NS1. Glad to see them still present in NS2!
(As alien commander) If you have enough resources, go Onos and get in the hive. When a single (or just a few) marines attack the hive you're in, BOOM ONOS LOL DED.
As funny as that sounds, that's a hell of a waste.
Not if you have all upgrades, almost all resource nozzles, and still have lots of resources. (This sounds like end-game, but with tough enemies, this could still happen mid-game)

I appeared in a corridor at the other side of the map right in front of 3 marines. rip 75 res
I want to see the eclipse remake turn into an official map and get new art assets from the devs like veil did. And It's so funny looking on the NS2 forums, a couple are trying to justify the 6.0 score the pulled review gave because of long load times and lack of a proper tutorial - and then calling anyone who doesn't agree with it a fanboy. Oh well, internets.

Just tried to play as marine commander for the first time.... Damn its hard to be everywhere at the same time then you have marines fighting on 2 fronts.
I rarely crash but when I do its so annoying cause its always late game or I'm commander, these optimizations can't come quick enough
Welcome to the wall of lame Basicly i was comm and had a decent start, there was this rookie crying about me getting a second IP, i had to go afk, for 2 minutes and came back to him(KingKiddo in the lower left corner) sitting in the command chair and wasting 40 Tres early game on fucking sentry turrets. I tried as hard as i could to come back, but our team didnt manage to push them back anymore after we lost all our RTs. The rookie kept whining as to why i didn't get mechs as he wanted to get mechs so badly. Worst game ever.
on the bright side I'm sure the onoses had fun destroying everything [editline]9th November 2012[/editline] Jetpack + flamethrower + welder = best support combo for protecting exosuits
My proposal isn't going over well, if at all.
