I would command more as its a change of pace after playing for a while but its just too reliant on how good your players are.
Dropped everything to low yesterday and game is 60 fps constant, I can play like this np but I know my rig could handle it so much better :(
Dropping it to low won't help much, it's good you got that extra FPS but it won't make a huge difference, in fact when I put it all on low, it runs worse. (back in beta) I suppose it has to work harder to reduce the level of detail or something?
whatever team wins, next round is always. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/ns2_2012-11-11_18-19-02-32.png[/t]

servers need auto join randomised when game rounds are over. everyone just wants to stack teams. rip ns2 if it carries on
Just had a really fun round as a comm on Summit which included dropping 3 exos in the base when aliens had almost all map control exept for 3 rts and 2 cc's. Feels good seeing 1 hive dying after another.
servers need auto join randomised when game rounds are over. everyone just wants to stack teams. rip ns2 if it carries on
tbh then people would just leave if they're on a bad team [editline]11th November 2012[/editline] anyway if I'm not playing as aliens then usually I just leave, marines are boooring as fuck compared to aliens
I don't really mind when everyone goes marine I love playing alien. Something about hopping around and biting people entertains me

I miss the old heavy armour :(
It'd be nice as a mod, auto-kick would also be nice for people just afking in game, just kick them to the waiting room.
Random teams is already either a mod or server option. I've played on servers with it.
I have spent all this time making a mod tool for NS2 I haven't played it in a few days. Oh well, at least the mod tool is nearly finished, just need a bit more free time in which to finish it.
I'm on a winning streak with alien commanding at the moment. Commanded about half a dozen matches today and didn't lose any of them!
Anyone been playing ENSL gathers? Much much better then public. Ive been scrimming all day and won all my games except 2
VoteRandom from console will vote for randomized teams
Is it just me or are Onos hilariously overpowered? I don't complain about OP shit in games too much, but I can hardly bear it when there's a team of two dual minigun exos with a repair person set to each exo, and they completely get their shit smashed by a single Onos. Didn't help the fact that every person on the enemy team was constantly Onos, and our defeat felt rather shameful. It just feels like there's barely any weapons that actually significantly counter an Onos. Maybe I'm just talking out of my ass though, with only having played for 13 hours.
The marines and aliens have pretty much a 50/50 win ratio, (I think aliens have a 52% win ratio) I don't think Onos = GG. [editline]12th November 2012[/editline] I'm guessing that your exosuits either got caught at a bad time (overheating), were previously damaged, had bad aim or all of the above. Onos and exosuits are pretty even on footing, especially if the exosuit has a welder.
Speaking of balance, I couldn't believe how many people during the tournament would shout ALIENS ARE WAY OP or MARINES ARE WAY OP just because one side was winning, then when you try to explain it to people they tell you that you should learn something about balance. :suicide:

Friend and I, both dual exos, we had a MAC and a dude with welders. Onos runs in, we both start firing, he headbutts us TWICE.... and oh yeah there he ru- he died.
at this rate i'm going trying to learn and use spark editor it's gonna take me a year just to complete a rough alpha of a competitive map.
it's actually really easy, last time i used it tho was like before the alpha and it was incredibly glitchy back then, you would often have to remake parts of your map because of glitched vertices
I believe the best way to counter an onos is either to dual minigun exo+welder and jetpack+flamer. Flamethrower stack damage just rapes the hell out of armored enemies.
Plus the flamer drains energy which helps when the onos is murdering your mates. Multiplayer horror mod for NS2:
why is the flashlight so fucking small??? it's smaller than the fucking spread on dual exo miniguns.
I don't think I've ever once thought the flashlight was small in this game
I don't think I've ever once thought the flashlight was small in this game
The only thing that might be small about it would be the fact that it has a pretty short range but to be honest, I don't think it needs more range than it has.
you know I'm surprised no one's made a pulse rifle mod yet
I don't think I've ever once thought the flashlight was small in this game
i'm not talking about ns2, i'm talking about that "horror" mod.
