I kind of want to play NS2c, but everyone is playing CO or normal.
People who F4 when their team starts getting pushed back piss me off. They turn a fairly even and fun round into a stompfest.

So I just realised that I could just use Can You Run It?*tm and got the following results: This was the meter how well it can run, a bit iffy about it being a big concern, taking into account that everything else in my system was fine exept for this one: I think I could afford to upgrade that one, but I might not be arsed to do it. So I'm asking you is that a big problem if I stuck with this current video card? EDIT: Best pageking ever. Releated to subject too... Well umm.... Gorge is the best Alien dude!!11!
People who F4 when their team starts getting pushed back piss me off. They turn a fairly even and fun round into a stompfest.
I only disconnect when I see the coming onslaught. Might also be lame, bit it's a hell of a lot lamer to F4 and stack to the winning team. In one match though, I was alien comm and we were being pushed back fairly early. I was tempted to just alt+f4, but stuck around to see the end of it. I kept calling out incoming attacks (alien Foresight is awesome) and direct pushes with my microphone. By some kind of bizarre twist, we were able to halt the advance and tie up the Marines st key sectiins of the map, allowing map control for my team. Long story short, I doubt we would have won that game if I had disconnected and no one organized the team. Frankly, I'm amazed that I see so few comms calling out enemy movements and keeping the team updated on what he's doing. Knowing is half the battle, and even if I'm not commanding, I still call out the movements of the enemy at every chance I get.
anybody want to guide me through spark editor so i can make maps? i'm currently drawing up ideas for a large map (12v12 in mind because most of the maps currently are too small for 24 people) and a competitive map (6v6 in mind. quick, small, balanced)
Neither teams are OP, it's just hard to make a comeback if you're losing.
Is it just me or are Onos hilariously overpowered? I don't complain about OP shit in games too much, but I can hardly bear it when there's a team of two dual minigun exos with a repair person set to each exo, and they completely get their shit smashed by a single Onos. Didn't help the fact that every person on the enemy team was constantly Onos, and our defeat felt rather shameful. It just feels like there's barely any weapons that actually significantly counter an Onos. Maybe I'm just talking out of my ass though, with only having played for 13 hours.
2 exos and one welder dude should have no problem taking care of an onos if they've got a3/w3
I only disconnect when I see the coming onslaught. It's really annoying. Especially as alien commander since like 90% of the match is downtime waiting for res
Question about comupterspecs and NS2 running on current set
Just a simple yes/no answer would be appreciated, I really would like to buy this game but it's a no if I can't run it well.

As commander, I'm also annoyed by players that just don't say a word the rntire match. Worse still if they don't listen and stay in a corner whilst their teammates are fighting a losing battle in the next room over.
Neither teams are OP, it's just hard to make a comeback if you're losing.
When the other team has all the resource-nozzles but the one your team has, it becomes almost impossible to retaliate and push them back. I was a marine and this happened, we got like 5 resource points in 20 minutes while the Kharaa kept coming on to us with increasing amounts of Onos. Eventually we lost, but we managed to keep our main base for quite a while and that seemed to annoy some people. :v:
Is there a Facepunch NS2 steam group yet? Cause there should be!
I really dislike servers that change the map after one damn round. Makes it more annoying somehow. Like, "Yeah man I'm so pumped up that last round was really close Let's make it 2 fo-" LEVEL LOADING
I really dislike servers that change the map after one damn round. Makes it more annoying somehow.
Really? i thought it was 2 rounds. guess the round lasts longer then i thought
Really? i thought it was 2 rounds. guess the round lasts longer then i thought
From what I've seen it depends on the server settings, but usually the map change is after a round.
The servers should stop starting a new round when the map is going to change 2 seconds later.
Kinda annoyed this one server I was on... 3 rounds in a row ended in less than 5 minutes, and it was 1 round a map. 2 of those rounds were my friend and I zerg-rushing the marines base power node... They weren't pleased. BUT ITS THEIR FAULT FOR NOT STAYING AT BASE AND ALL LEAVING AT ONCE IN THE SAME DIRECTION.
Not sure why, but I can't see any servers in the browser... I did a second ago, tried joining 2. Got kicked from the first and couldn't establish a connection to the second.

Also I don't get how nobody else can run this game on high settings. I have everything maxed out and I get a consistent 50FPS all game, and my PC is like, 3 years old.
What GPU are you using? I'm also on a 3 year old PC. Runs the game really well on medium.
I'm packing a GTX450... runs it rather well.

I would like to get into the numbers in this game before I start it.
It'd be more interesting if there wasn't the stupid-as-fuck bunnyhop.
I'm curious; what's wrong with bunnyhopping?
been trying to exclusively play lerk whenever alien today. Think it's actually decent. Guess under appreciated just because they're pretty much made of paper
I am kind of half and half on the whole lights out and emergency lights when the power goes out. On one hand, I like how the room goes completely dark for the first few seconds the power goes out and then the red emergency lights turn on. On the other hand, I want the room to stay dark until the power goes [del]out.[/del] on.
I really want the black armor but no one let's their hands off it.
