Had an awesome run, died in pitch black night, spawned with nothing and was running away from zombies on the road when all of a sudden an army tuck shows up, stops, 5 armed guys come out and shoot the zombies and tell me to get in, they took me to the hospital and healed me, then they took me to some military tents and got me an M16 and quite a lot of ammo for it, later on they found a map and gave it to me. Thank you random bros :D

basically it's a big old cashgrab that tried to piggyback on DayZ's success and failed spectacularly a couple weeks ago

Not really, you'll rarely find anybody friendly in WarZ, I think the main reason for this is that you can carry a lot of weapons by yourself so you just shoot on sight to gather as much as you can, in DayZ you can carry at most two weapons or something so after that there is not much point in shooting other people unless you're in real need of food, water, etc which you might as well ask for, you also need to do blood transfusions in DayZ, that requires someone to use the blood bags on you, so going solo is not a good option, even though it's quite possible to do it. I've only played 2 days of DayZ but I'm enjoying it way more than WarZ.
I bought war Z when it was in beta. Luckily I got a refund last night.
I bought War Z when it was in beta as well, played it for a while (quite a while I should say) so I got my money's worth, it was kind of fun to play with friends but eventually I bought Arma II a few days ago and got DayZ installed, haven't touched War Z since, still didn't ask for a refund for War Z as I've played well over 50 hours of it.
I got the emulator and changed the host thing, but when I start up the launcher it says failed to connect after 10 tries.

eh dayzmod has it's days counted, and I doubt you'd like normal Arma (most people don't)

I haven't DayZ since June or something, can someone give a brief summary of what has changed and all that razzle diz'azzle?
What a day it's been.
-Got stalked by a self-driving bike (someone invisible was riding it), eventually got on it per the request of its driver, drove it around a bit, then got banned from that server for "scripting"
-Got "human shield-ed" by a well-armed player and dragged across half the coast, unable to escape the glitchy hold
-Robbed an unarmed player using a gun I had no ammo for, I Am Alive style
I love this mod despite how buggy it is.
Does anyone have an extra copy of Arma 2, please?

How'd you do it? I tried getting a refund for War Z recently, their support just gave me a "we do not handle refunds" thing and I couldn't do it trough paypal cause that only lets you dispute a purchase not longer than 45 days after the purchase.
