Todays sesh summarized: [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/594742109216388656/1C3023399FF0E1B9EA111C1E787BF2EEC833F36B/[/t] Ended up crashing that plane, with my friend riding along. Respawned, found an ural, drove back, retrieved loot, found ANOTHER plane, regrouped with friend, exchanged loot. On the airport I landed at, we found some other guy circling around in his AN2 we made short work of him [t]http://i.imgur.com/t4F5onG.jpg [/t]
I7-2600k @ 4.4GHZ 2X AMD Radeon 6970 in crossfire 16GB DDR3 1333MHZ. AsRock Fatal1ty Z68 Pro.
was that just a fucking joke i'm even surprised you heard of this thing called framerates per second.
No the thing about Arma 2 that irks you is that the Devs did the eyepieces wrong as Dayz is only using it as it is currently a mod.
I know that but I don't play vanilla arma, and this is the dayz thread but yeah i'm exaggerating as one usually does on the internet
You need to fix the loot tables. I found a heli and picked up some friends on your server. Went to the oil rigs and nothing was spawned even though it was like 30 minutes after a server reset.
The Oil Rigs have always been bugged. There is a trick to get things to spawn that requires two people, but I don't know exactly. [editline]26th January 2013[/editline]
Could you post the server name? I'm trying to join through day-z commander so I don't have to use annoying modlines.
Go to favorites tab and input IP. The actual server title is really generic.
The Oil Rigs have always been bugged. There is a trick to get things to spawn that requires two people, but I don't know exactly.
I see. Kinda disappointing because we searched pretty much all of the oil rigs and couldn't find of the military loot. But I do like the amount of vehicles around. My huey is in good condition and it gets us through the day.
It is a survival game if you don't expect everybody to go around murdering each other your a fool. That does not make it a bad community. And if that is not what you base it being a bad community on then feel free to explain.
There's a fine line between everyone murdering each other to survive and fucking Chernogorsk Deathmatch Classic.
There's a fine line between everyone murdering each other to survive and fucking Chernogorsk Deathmatch Classic.
No one is forcing you to head to big cities.
There's a fine line between everyone murdering each other to survive and fucking Chernogorsk Deathmatch Classic.
Sounds pretty normal to me. In a zombie apocalypse I would imagine cities to be the most dangerous place. I would expect everybody to be killing each other once the outbreak is big. Every man for himself.
i want to play a decent chernarus server that isnt a fucking private hive but it seems impossible to find one. played on a private hive and some guy goes out of his way to heal me, we go loot the elektro firestation, both find aks, i take one and go to loot some guys body and he shoots me from behind. game made for selfish sociopaths
rule 1 of dayz: don't trust strangers
I have a 6770, and if I uninstall the display drivers, I get 70+ fps. With them I get ~40 (20 in cities.)
Sounds pretty normal to me. In a zombie apocalypse I would imagine cities to be the most dangerous place. I would expect everybody to be killing each other once the outbreak is big. Every man for himself.
Yeah, people constantly respawning and running back into the cities to grab a Makarov and shoot people is totally realistic. The community is far more hostile then it was when I started playing, there was a plentiful amount of friendly players and cautious, neutral players who didn't shoot you but just wanted to avoid you, and bandits were still plentiful. Now everyone has the mind set of shoot first, there's limited interaction between survivors, people shoot new-spawns for no reason.
rule 1 of dayz: don't trust strangers
Rule 1 of having fun: trust strangers and make friends. That's the only reason I played with people on FacePunch, because at one point I didn't know anybody in the Mumble.
im sorry lord of ears he wouldn't stop
There's a fine line between everyone murdering each other to survive and fucking Chernogorsk Deathmatch Classic.
This isn't roleplay or anything, once you're fully geared up there really isn't anything else to do but kill people. Unless you want to create a hidden personal stash or repair a helicopter/vehicle that you might find.
Today I learned to turn off my anti-virus's autoscan. Lost a little bird and an hour of our time
This isn't roleplay or anything, once you're fully geared up there really isn't anything else to do but kill people. Unless you want to create a hidden personal stash or repair a helicopter/vehicle that you might find.
That's pretty much what I am saying, that whole "lol let's go snipe people on the coast" wasn't a huge thing in the earlier builds.
there's not really anything else to do once you get highest-tier equipment once there's actual endgame activities, the coast sniper complex should die off
I always try to do constructive things with my end-game gear. Like using my helicopter to fly Med-Evac runs for people with broken legs, blood loss etc.
I always try to do constructive things with my end-game gear. Like using my helicopter to fly Med-Evac runs for people with broken legs, blood loss etc.
Yeah this pretty much. I don't see why people go "well, I have the highest gear, the only thing in the world I can possibly do right now is kill other people" Whenever I have nothing left to do I help people.
-snip-
It's alot more fun to play friendly than running around shooting people. Fixed up a huey today and transported people around, looting shit [t]http://i.imgur.com/4gaEYB1.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/Bauj9JF.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/JPVsZrN.jpg[/t] We had a blast until some guy came and shot all of us. Oh well, it's the standard routine for a dayZ session spawn, find vehicle, have fun, die
Guys who use my server. Would you like rMod? It'll allow me to spawn non-dayz vehicles like tanks and OA vehicles. New weapons and items. Also let's me place custom props so if a faction is formed I can make them a makeshift little base and stuff or set up mini 'events' with NPC's and all.
I started playing with a small group of my real-life friends yesterday, I just told them stories about the glory days of USPVT and 133. I shed a single tear.

What is the IP and such for CodeMonkey's server?
Awww man my favorite server switched from Namalsk to Chernarus Lost a PKP and ghille Well guess it'll give me a reason to try this Tavania server [editline]27th January 2013[/editline]
What is the IP and such for CodeMonkey's server?
Back one page, first post by him
It's a page back. Just input the IP, port and password. I don't think there is a rMod for Taviana and it's pretty complicated for me to try just to fuck it up. Also everyone who joins has to have it installed too. [editline]27th January 2013[/editline]
Awww man my favorite server switched from Namalsk to Chernarus Lost a PKP and ghille Well guess it'll give me a reason to try this Tavania server [editline]27th January 2013[/editline] Back one page, first post by him
Haven't gotten shot yet on my Server, not because of lack of people. But like 98% are Facepunchers and aren't dicks. At least, not yet. I personally don't have the heart to shoot people most of the time but I'm sure some of you do.
Someone took my motorcycle on a low-population public server I frequent now. He accidentally revealed his theft to me while gloating in chat, but didn't know I was the previous owner. He offered me a pickup in Berezino, so I told him to meet me at the military tents. I must've sat in the apartments with my SVD, waiting eagerly for like twenty minutes, and then he disconnects before even picking me up. Most anti-climactic would-be assassination I ever did see. :v: [editline]27th January 2013[/editline] This SVD, it hungers for blood.
