Different tools for different jobs. If you want a nice cozy office job, take an AS50 and kill from a kilometer away, if you're into CQB, I'd agree the Mk48 does quite well. If you're more into killing zombies I'd recommend an M4 SD of any variety. The CCO is particularly good for easy headshots on zombies and can kill a player proficiently as long you're close enough to dump half a mag into them before they can return fire.
the MK48 is good for more than just CQB.
The amount of times I killed a sniper simply because I could simply outshoot him at his range.
It's reasonably accurate and can dump a shit load of rounds down range without massive recoil penalties.

Depends if you want a sniper or assault rifle but the DMR is probably the best sniper after the AS50 but it's hacked in. Then for the assault rifle M4's are the best. Also there is the MP5SD which is the most quiet gun in the game, or you can just check the wiki.
Well that was confusing. I was laying on the Elektro hill, just watching people, when I see Bateman's group on my thermal scope, I decide to help em with zombies chasing them. Sadly, I couldn't see the impact of the bullet on the ground, so it was hard to estimate how high I should've aimed. Even when looking at the distance with a rangefinder and then zeroing the L85, I kept fucking missing. So then I suddenly got shot at, and thought it came from the northern firestation, and shot at the people that were on there. Little did I know that that was Bateman's group, hehe. It didn't look like I hit anything because of the stupid zeroing shit, but I might have accidently killed at least one of them.... ewps. And then some dude came walking on the hill, who I thought was the one shooting at me also. So I shot him in the face, but it looks like he logged, because I couldn't find a body, and when I fired 3 shots or so, he was right in front of me and I was aiming at his head so there's no way I couldn't have hit him.
I'm trying to find a group of people to play with and things to do. I'm starting to get bored in this game only playing with like one or two other people. Anyone have a clan or something they would accept me in?

None of those weapons are hacked in.
Well people would not be all time hitting snipers if we would have the realistic scope settings and wind thing ace haves, firstly it's a thing you need to master instead of only bullet drop (which is a joke) and it takes longer to set up your scope which would prevent the players getting their hands on a sniper (and never learned it) hitting or killing people from over 300 metres. Forgot to mention that it's satisfying by lots.

Shooting long distance in ACE without adjusting windage is annoying as fuck since your shot can land pretty much up to 10m away from your target if you don't get an approx. value.

The AS50 is hacked in, I stole it from some kids body and joined a different server and got kicked when I killed someone with it. That's when I found it was hacked in, all the other weapons I mentioned are in the game.
The AS50 is ingame and is one of the most popular end game weapons.
