The AS50 is hacked in. The writing made it seem like I meant the DMR.
[editline]26th September 2012[/editline]
The AS50 is hacked in, I stole it from some kids body and joined a different server and got kicked when I killed someone with it. That's when I found it was hacked in, all the other weapons I mentioned are in the game.
I've found 10+ AS50s at crashed helicopters.
I will use that as evidence enough to say they are not hacked in.
AS50 TWSs were available for a short time, and people duped the shit out of that, if that's what you mean. They were probably hacked in as well after the limited time they spawned normally.

If you honest-to-god thought an AS50 was a hacked weapon you have NO place attempting to give anyone advice in regards to the game. Not to mention the M4 is garbage for PVP with abysmally low damage value (even more so for the MP5SD6) and has no worth other than SD ammo to avoid drawing zombies. Most PKers will use a Mk48 unless they're concerned about stealth or zombies, or even a FAL or AKM would be a better choice.

Consider it balance. We have enough snipers as-is, imagine if it was easy.

I starved to death with a shotgun and a revolver with tons of ammo, and I was pretty bummed.
Next life, tons of food, drink, blood packs, MP5A5, M1911 and ammunition right from the start. Viewtiful.

Then dont play on ACE servers..
Honestly its hard to play ARMA 2 without ACE. It just adds so many good things to it, especially in regards with grenade throwing.
Throwing shit is especially painful in DayZ since its such a common chore, with all the flares and tin cans you use.
If someone merged dayz and ace it would be awesome.
I've done it but it would run really shit on people with crap PC's, since ACE is pretty heavy.
Then dont play on ACE servers..
I won't, thanks
Literally the only reason I have ACE is because my friend has it and hates turning off the parameters everytime we fuck around in OA
I'll only play on ACE servers when I fix up my PC and make it better

Good point, it would definitely make traversing the coast an easier task
But the wind gauging shouldn't be with it, or, at the very least, dumbed down
Windage is easy, just look at some tutorials on YouTube.

I love when this happens. A shame that someone found the body before. He was missing a rangefinder, coyote backpack and sniper rifle.
From what I've found, the Fallujah map kind of disregards the urban focus. The city only really contains low level residential drops (which only spawns in one type of building from what I've found) which leaves everyone going for the airfield for its massive-as-fuck military drop amounts.
Basically, this is how Fallujah works:
- Spawn
- Run to airfield
- Loot
- Die
- Repeat
Even the vehicles are usually still at the airfield because no one ever gets the chance to be alive long enough to get them out of there.

I'd rather the sniping be difficult to promote closer encounters.
Though what I'd really like is some binoculars.

Fix the mv22, give it some gas with a Jerry Can, after 100l of gas fly to a gas station
In this game you rarely snipe over distances where virtual wind and such actually matters.
I have to make it from Kamenka to Electro and pick up blood on the way to help my friend.
Fuck.
Sigh, the hit registry when you shoot someone is retarded. My friend and I found someone and as he came up the stairs we both shot him about 3 times without our Lee Enfield and Remmy and he only died after about 5 seconds, which was enough time for him to kill my friend.
I'm pretty bored of guns now, my current playstyle is just stalking people around cherno with an axe
I am on a private hive in berezino now. I went there in hopes of finding a boat but i didnt find shit. Checked like 8 different vehicle spawns and nothing. Where should I go now? I would like to get my hands on NVG and a L85AWS but i never find any crash sites.
A hacker just killed everyone on the server one by one. It's either Darkshadow or Piletrae07.
There weren't that much people on, but a rollback would be nice.
How long of a rollback?
im not the hacker, i have been playing on the server for some time

Have to agree, but there is still a fairly intense urban environment available, it's just that the spawns encourage people to run to the airfield and not scavange the town. Some spawns are not remotely near anything, and there's 50/50 chance that you pick the right direction to run to town.
The whole map needs optimization really, there needs to be spawns closer to more loot friendly buildings, removing the bullshit spawn locations that are about three kilometers out from anything remotely useful, and removing all spawns that are close to the airfield. Running through the city, scavenging through apartments, industrial areas and convenience stores and then fixing up a pickup with a machine gun on it; and you'll have a ball.
I went back to dayz after a good 2-3 week break.
Everything has got worse imo, scripters/hackers are more common place. I went to 6 completely random severs and on 3 of them found ammo boxes. The other 3 just had scripters doing stupid shit, last night one leveled the entire city. I though it was clear and when I went in, he script killed me.
Oh well, WarZ should be out next month..
How long of a rollback?
10 to 30 minutes.
I'm watching Dean right now live on YouTube, speaking at the Eurogamer convention. He was asked about The War Z, and he was such a gentleman! This really convinced me to buy the standalone. It's obvious that Day Z has a vision, while The War Z has no soul, and no atmosphere.
10 to 30 minutes.
Oh nevermind, you rolled it back already, nice.
Still stuck in debug plains, been following the direction the clouds come from for a while. :(
hacker killed me ;(

Just join an empty server that is running an older version of dayz. Then you will get stuck on the loading screen after the lobby. Leave it for 1-2 minutes and then join a server you want again. You will respawn at the coast.
This is how I always escape the debug plains.
Been out of the game for some time, where are the EU facepunchers holding up nowadays?
