Happened to me too. I was on the stairs inside a buidling shooting zombies when I suddely broke my bones flew against the wall and died.
Welp cant wait for the standalone to come out.

Fully possible that a bullet could've hit you before you heard the sound of the gun being fired.
Also, when you get one-shotted, the game says "alright, time to do directional soun- wait fuck that, no need, the guy's dead" so if you hear anything it'll sound like a gunshot right between your ears or just nothing at all.
Or a hacker, but I hate it when people jump to that conclusion.

You might've logged out with shock/pain; that grants a five-minute unconsciousness when you log back in. Wait it out or have a friend epi-pen you. If you're on the main hive and in a populated area, it might be a good idea to wait out the timer on an empty server.

It could possibly be related to the network. I've instantly lost around 20000 blood with no warning, and I've been told it's due to being attacked by zombies with a red chain. I guess the client never gets the message, so it takes a while before you finally get killed.
Sorry if someone's already talked about it (I'm sure they have) but is there anyway to cope with losing inventory on login? I lose everything in the food, ammo and tools area but keep my guns with no ammo in them. At the moment i'm currently using my backpack as a bank but this is highly inefficient when it comes down to keeping ammo in it and I've heard of back packs dissapearing.

same issue found a RPG said 1 shot in it. But when I tried switching to it to fire the one shot it said 0 shots and would even leave my back. I just keep pulling out my pistol when I tried to take out the RPG it made me so sad.

I had a wonderful time in DayZ today.
I log, and head south to poke into Starysober, and then I noticed the barn near the medical camp is armored to hell, I get in and find this.

After dicking around with the boat, I head south and meet up with a friend, while we're going to meet up. He finds a camp with a bus, Pick up truck and Ural. So he comes and picks me up, we head back. And our way back, we find this tiny little camp, with abunch of NVGs, and sniper rifles. Being the nice fellows we are, we blew it up with a M203.

So, with our new vehicles we decided to head north and park our vehicles in our normal spot, but.. Surprise, when we get there, we found a GAZ parked up in the bushes near the tent, with a AS50 TWS, with it being a hacked weapon, I decided to blow the car up with my own AS50.

After an uneventful thirty minutes, we head up north towards the lumber mill where the ural spawns to try to find another good spot to hide of vehicles, and as we just past the Lumbermill, we found a V35 sitting on the side of the road, loaded to the brim with hacked weapons. So we took the car parts out of it, repaired our vehicles and ate all their food, before we decided to blow it up.

Then we decided to head on again, but right as we left, my friend turned his pick up truck into a tree, and broke both of the front tires, we tried to fix them, but no luck. It glitched out and we lost the tires. So we left the truck on the side of the road, for whoever else might find it and repair it and then headed on up the hill. We stopped for a moment to check for another camp around some rocks. But as I climbed up, I went into shocks, heard my legs break and was flung up into the air, rocks had killed my 98 day character. My friend tossed all my gear into the vehicle, and then he swooped back down to Cherno and picked my ass up, after a long drive down, and then a long drive back, I drove the Ural up into the mountains to hide it, but, it got stuck on a rock and as I tried to get it unstuck, all the wheels busted and the hull dropped down. So we did what any good person should do. We took as much as we could, and planted all those satchels around the truck, said our farewells and blew her up, and then headed off into the mountains to log off.

With all this happening in the span of three hours, I think it was a good day. :v:
Just finished a 9-10 hour session with a friend on mine.
In that time we found ourselves another ATV, I ran over my friend and killed him in the north east airfield, flattened Rog castle after finding a hackers base there, so we used all the satchel charges are taking all the legit gear and destroyed the castle, spend 1 hours getting to stalski island via a small boat, from Berezino then on the way back to out "base" we got shot at but survived.
This has got to be the most action packed and intresting session i have played in a long time.

I spend my time removing bad made walls around Rog Por castle. Got inside took everything out of the tents piling it up. It looked beautiful so I saved the tents with nothing in them and left. I know it don't look like much bit it was 3 tents worth of gear. Good load of ammo and guns pulse some first aid items. They had jerry cans but couldn't find a car or anything in the area sadly.

Managed to find some dead guys in a church with all the high tier goodies. Now my team is sporting camouflage clothing and I got a nice silenced m4a1. Pretty happy about this find.

So me and my squad were dicking around north of Stary, and the server was pretty dead maybe 7 people including 5 of us. Out of the blue mk48 spray "kills" us all and buried our bodies. And apparently my camp was blown up which consisted of 4 tents full of end gear. Wooo
