[B]A bit of backstory:[/B]
The day before this video, I lured a guy called simply "Andy" into a trap at NWAF, and subsequently sniped him. He didn't even have much loot, I just did it because I was bored.
I rejoin the next day and get in a sticky situation at NWAF, and get trapped in a car, surrounded by zombies with low blood and a broken leg. I panic and ask anyone in the server for help without checking the player list. A guy called "Ben" comes to my aid, but all of a sudden Andy and his buddy jump out of the SUV!
The conversation goes as follows:
Andy: "Hey LewyJudge, can you hear me? D'you remember me? It's Andy, you killed me yesterday man"
Me: "Oh Hey Andy how are you doin', I guess you're gonna kill me"
Andy: "Yeah I think I am, you were kind of a dick and tricked me"
Me: "Okay, I'm ready, Let's get it over with"
His Friend: BYE BYE
Andy: Yeah I didn't even have much shit when you killed me

On the plus side, my lack of DayZ has caused me to start talking to a new girl - if I had followed my somewhat daily routine with Plenti I probably wouldn't have talked to her
I still wish I could play later tonight though, Plenti and some new guys just found a helicopter :v:
If I were to say, buy a key from a cheap site (i'm talking like £10) it wouldn't be stolen right?

Significant amounts of code have, quite literally, been deleted. Things such as the unit AI mechanisms and a whole bunch of stuff that DayZ never touches. This will give optimizations. Most of what DayZ Mod does is essentially a hack. In DayZ Standalone, it is no longer a hack. The optimizations of this are significant. Also the assets themselves are optimized, take for example the zombies in the mod. They have five "sections" each (for each section, the GPU must do a new render pass) and over 8000 triangles when including the head. In the standalone, zombies have 5000 triangles and one section. This makes a big difference.

I'm watching FrankieonPC, and how the fuck that guy always survive almost any sticky situation he gets himself into is beyond me. Not only does he have an autistic knowledge of DayZ but he's able to wipe out any group that's hostile towards him no matter how many people are in it, AND he still helps out anyone that doesn't show any aggression towards him.
He's like the DayZ version of Batman.

Huh, well, that would explain why JackFrags, an ex counter-strike pro player, dies all the time in his videos, but he doesn't.
It's like, I'm not even mad, just disappointed. It makes you wonder if he's hacking in other games, but unless there's also evidence for that too I guess I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not trying to defend this guy I've never heard of - since after watching that video it's pretty clear it's hacking - but just remember that ArmA plays exactly 1% like counter strike, and that's only because you move with WASD and aim with the mouse.
The point I was trying to make was how Frankie's longevity compared to JackFrags, who got killed pretty much once every episode, is in retrospect very odd and very unlikely. And the fact that half of the time he somehow finds good gear and vehicles, but now I think it's just the loss of trust talking.

I've just gotten into this game, and it's rather fun. But jesus I just ragequit so hard.
Over the past few nights my crew and I worked damn hard to gather everyone and get a working bus, and while we were gone today someone stole the bus, and when my friend tried to join the server he got scrip errors and Battlelog banned him for being a hacker, when he wasn't.
So we joined another server, but this one had the map disabled and all the people were bandit assholes. Within 5 minutes of being on it I had to kill 2 in self defence. Anyhow, we're all separated, and the newest member finds a car out in the woods, so we trek across the map to find the car, and then scavenge for 2 hours for a wheel, and another 2 hours for a toolbox, and we're not 5 minutes from the car when some fucker hacks it and the thunderdome bullshit fffuck. Lost, all of it. Hours of work.
Can anyone recommend any fairly good servers? Is the one in the OP good?

It took me forever to figure out where the noise was coming from. I didn't think it was FP so I eventually refreshed all 25 of my tabs one at a time until I noticed it stop.
A four month break got me playing again, yeah its repetitive and gets boring with no endgame its still a really pretty good mod/game.

The one in the OP is where I got my most memorable DayZ experiences. However DayZ community died and the server is quite dead. I would suggest playing on private hive servers, or even try out the new maps people have made. Namalsk is a good one. Scarce food and drinks, barely any animals to hunt, and going into the mountains will make you sick etc etc. Just remember to keep heat packs!

Same thing happened to me, thought I was going crazy.
I watched two of his videos when I was in france. I thought he just played on a really easy server or something. Oh well, seems most people hack nowadays.

seeing that frankie hacks video really bums me out, before I always saw him as a very talented batman type hero of Day Z. Now all I can see him as is a lying douchenugget.
He only does it so he can milk more money out of his subscription. Doesn't die as much, quicker to get footage, quicker to edit, quicker to shit it out. It's the only reason and he's a douche for not admitting it, I wouldn't have a problem if it was only visual hacks he was doing like the chat and monitor but he cheats his heath and I bet he also spawns in items.
