I think if he rolls back the release date either:
a. everyone will be understanding
b. rage
There should not be any rage if that happens. Rocket made that date months ago before many decissions were made (the engine rehaul and such to an client server system etc) if it isn't ready then it isn't.

So, my faith in Day Z players has been kinda restored. I ran into another (very well equipped) player at the northwest airfield; Turns out he had been watching me crawl my way across the runway and came over thinking my legs were broken and offered medical attention. Then he gave me his spare M9 SD to quietly deal with zombies and left. To make things even better, after he left I ran across an abandoned truck containing a DMR, NVGs, GPS, an entrenching tool, a toolbox, a rangefinder and plenty of medical and food supplies.
I decided that taking the truck (which was in perfect condition with a full tank of fuel) wasn't worth it when I saw a helicopter flying around nearby.
What the fuck do I do now? I've never been this well equipped before.

Well, forget my last post, all that stuff is gone and the truck is a burned out husk after I logged out and went back in a while later. Still got the M9 SD though!

They shouldn't, I just started playing again yesterday and I still had my gear from September, but I don't know about the private hive
They don't drop them at all to my knowledge. I stopped playing for about 5 months and when I came back I still had all my stuff.
Namalsk is fucking insane, but in a good way. Me and some friends fended off two poorly-armed bandits and then all three of us get sniped by their scout with a DMR and we're like "holy shit we didn't even see you"
I love it when PvP isn't hostile in a sense - more like a sport
So, me and some friends went and tried out a Namalsk server.
I found a helicopter soon after I spawned, stole it and picked up my friends and a couple of randoms. I let my buddy fly, because I wanted to check out a military base nearby. He picks me back up, but the other friend kept getting kicked for high ping. We decided it was best to crash the helicopter.
My friend-o told the server he'd be doing pick-ups at Object A2, and waited for enough people to gather around it. The helicopter exploded well enough, but nothing could stop his rampage. He jumped out and killed whoever was left alive.
If we couldn't have fun in that helicopter, nobody could.

They cut all the fun out of DayZ and turned it into a starvation simulator.
Rocket is killing me with his quietness, no sign of life from him for 4 whole goddamn days. I played the shit out of the mod since april 2012 and I am still hyped as hell about standalone.
