i've been unconscious for like half an hour, this emission shit needs to be taken out of namalsk, or seriously toned down
Was there an update to namalsk that did something to the helis? I've been unable to play on the server me and my friends frequented because it hasn't updated past 0.60.
I've had pretty terrible luck with DayZ, never found any good weapons or anything before getting killed. But just now I spawned, made my way to Elektro and found an Alice backpack and completely stocked it up with beans and soda before moving out to a loot route I found online, going up from Kamenka and hitting up all the Deer stands I could. I found a PDW and a M16. This was the most and best loot I've ever found in DayZ, I was beside myself, so I decided to retreat even further into the mainland, away from Cherno/Elektro to avoid all player confrontation. I climbed up a watch tower type thing to log off.
Now I was too scared to keep playing, didn't want to spawn, walk around abit and die, losing all my loot. But I finally logged on, climbed down my tower and found a tent, someone had obviously stocked it full of shit and logged out because it was FULL of bloodbags, morphine, ammo, a ghillie suit, even more food and drink, compass, map...
now im too scared to continue playing.

Then I got bored and went to Elektro with my LMG and killed 7 people before I bit off too much and went after four people at once
I still got two of them though :v:
is there some secret to using the dayz map, it seems the dayzdb map is superior and functions exactly the same if you use shift tab, I cant tell what the hell im looking at with the dayz map

The only real upside is if you're on a server where the map shows your current location
And even then it's still a good idea to have the other map up for loot locations and such

incoming tale from namalsk
i was skulking around outside of vorkuta, and suddenly a light passed over me
i looked around for a little while, and there was a UAZ with its lights on sitting there
seeing no owner in sight, i nabbed the UAZ and took off with it
i cruised around in that for a little while, and came to the sebjan chemical factory
i was surveying that area, and noticed there were lights on, so i got the fuck outta there
i cruised around for a while after that, and then stopped to look at my map
when i came back, there was a newspawn standing there, and he hopped in
we headed over to the northern army base, shot a dude, and the newspawn grabbed a gun and grabbed his buddy too, who was already near there
his buddy was sick and had low blood, so we took off for the old hospital
we got to the sebjan chemical factory, where we saw the lights again
upon closer inspection this time, we saw that it was a vacant UAZ
we decided to grab that shit, and then out of fucking nowhere a huey flew over us, lit up the vacant UAZ and blew it the fuck up
then it flew over us and shined its spotlight down
the two guys jumped out of my UAZ and started shooting at it, and i fucked off into the woods with my UAZ
i saw their names pop up as being killed, and the huey flew away
i drove back over there to investigate, only to see the huey flying BACK towards me
i turned the fuck around and put the pedal to the metal, and the huey was in hot pursuit
bullets were snapping and my wheel got damaged, but my speed wasn't impacted
i was still driving fuckfast and the huey started to shine its light at me
i swerved off the road into the woods and hid my UAZ behind a tree, and turned it off
i jumped out and hid under a pine tree (i had a ghillie suit)
i looked behind me
there was a dude fucking parachuting down
he saw me and i got an assfull of lead
moral of the story: don't stop, keep driving

I stumbled across a friendly guy with a PBX boat,we exchange pleasantries and ride together towards a smoke plume in the distance and went to investigate.
As we reached land and trekked uphill towards the smoke source we hear the sound of one of our boats revving and leaving the shoreline.
My new found friend exclaimed "Nigga stole ma boat" and began firing his AK at the now long gone boat.
Then it hit, the distant rumble of the coming blowout. We rush to the lone boat in an effort to pursue the thief and find shelter, but to no avail.
The blowout hits and my vision fades.

also increase the chance of getting food/drinks from looting zombies, wasted my whole night killing them only to get some tin cans and then starved to death
that feeling when you have no weapons and narrowly evade death at the hands of zombies when you're trapped in a room( or warehouse with no small exit door)
anyway i manage to survive my first trip to a airstrip, found a dead body in a warehouse and got a hatchet. found a G17 with one mag for it. Met a pretty chill dude hunting bandits who offered me water but I said no thanks its his. found no food or water and the guy was gone so i assume he went off searching for bandits.
is it normal to uncontrolably shake when im surrounded in cities or airstrips?

Your in-game character probably just was cold. You need a lot of heatpacks while playing on Namalsk.

If the facepunch namalsk server would restart at regular intervals and would have vehicles it would be the bomb.
and increase the chances of getting food from zombies, there's like only one can of beans per server restart

Decided to try running this shit with steam
it updated the beta patch to 100296 and now i cant play on any server, and downgrading to 99515 isnt possible it appears
