how about if I just use one cranial extraction on the ball lightnings, then? that's much more likely, especially if I've constructed my deck with the purpose of surviving the first turn and then using cranial extraction on a key card in my opponent's library
I saw a white vs white game. Ended up with one player getting decked with 184 health. I also ran out of die.
my 2 favorite decks are an artifact affinity deck (if u did not know what it is its basicly the more artifacts i have out the less the cost is for artifacts and even the lands are artifacts ) and the other is a blue deck that in within about 5 turns all but 1 or 2 card from your library are out of the game

You sir make casuals cry. Affinity is easily the worst mechanic ever. Blue decks that combo stomp most casual "OH LOL I HAVE NO INTERACTION EXCEPT THE RED ZONE :D" decks
So, I decided to put my blightsteel to use and made an infect deck. G/U/Artifact.
It's... interesting. Needs a lot of work, but it's pretty fun.

I'm planning on putting a few copies of this in my Infect & Defile deck when I get it. I can see its usefulness against weenies and getting some cheap shots.
In the end it all adds up, and 10 poison counters shouldn't be so hard to get to.

It works nicely with something like Contagion Clasp or particularly Contagion Engine.

My wolf deck my beefs made for me has that in it. Pretty awesome card, espeically when you have 7 2/2 wolves out from this late game:

This card is horrible and it only saves green creatures. If you're playing mountains and mono green dudes JUST to cast this... please stop. Go mono green and load up on leatherback baloths.

It was just a random card. I don't even have a deck based around the elf anyways. Its just in my elf deck. My electronics teacher plays magic. He runs a goblin deck thats horribly good.

It's because 4x piledriver, 4x ringleader, 4x goblin matron, 4x goblin warchief is awesome. (4x mogg fanatic, 4x goblin chieftain)

You can disagree but the fact is it's a 0/1 flying for G.
Unless you have good equipment (Sword of Fire and Ice) and card advantage that's 4/60 cards that are bad mid to late game.
Obviously creature outlets (survival) make it slightly more useful but still.
Swerve is indeed awesome xyzzy. Don't be a baddy though. To use swerve to counter a counter spell you need to change the target of the counter spell to swerve. Then the spell is countered because illegal targets. (Swerve is removed from the stack and the spell is countered because illegal target) There's specific rules that prevent spells from targeting themselves.

Give BoP the elf tag and you'll see a hell of a lot more play out of it. BoP is a chump blocker with flying and the ability to produce one of any mana. It's a great card. Don't pretend otherwise. That said, Noble Hierarch is still the best.
