That your first example of a bad mythic is actually one of the few which have seen lots of play leaves me without words.
Like yes, the second two are just unplayable, which drives the price of playable mythics even higher since the 1/36 or w/e chance of getting one mythic turns into a 1/8 chance of getting a playable.

I don't get why you would say this, it's not funny if you're serious and it's even less funny if you're joking.

The joke on Abyssal Persecutor was that you can't win with it.
At least when its on the battlefield.
Mythics aren't LOL THIS CARD WINS YOU THE GAME-cards, they're cards you gotta build upon, some of them don't fit that description though, and those are the mythics I don't like.
Personally I think mythics should be reserved for lore essential things, in other words for legendary things.

Lol, you are thinking pretty narrowly.
Do you really think most hardcast that thing?
Ever heard of reanimator decks?
Elvish Piper?
Quicksilver amulet?

Also I just got a package today. Four Tormod's Crypts and two Ashnod's Altars. Yay for graveyard hate and super efficient sac engines.

I don't play black, nor do I have/want elvish piper and quicksilver amulet.
Also there are FAR better things out there than jin to cheat out, blightsteel colossus, darksteel colossus, that one vampire bitch who ends the game if you hurt someone.
Jin is utterly useless to me and he's pretty much useless to everyone else, nobody has even offered anything for him.
Useless to everyone else? That must be why he's worth nearly $7. When you don't want to win the game with cheap combos he's a great card to have out. It's not always about cheating the biggest motherfucker you can out.
[editline]19th March 2012[/editline]
Also having Jin out at the same time as a psychosis crawler and a venser's journal is just mean.

seriously? making your opponent dump his hand and you draw seven cards is really good
if he hits the field he actually does something before he can get hit with an edict effect unlike "big x/x creature"
also if you're thinking of phage the untouchable, cheating her in makes you lose
Unless you've got a torpor orb! But yeah, the card advantage from Jin is absolutely insane.

So how does that work? You can't win? So how are you expecting to win using that card?
So how does that work? You can't win? So how are you expecting to win using that card?
Sac it when your opponent is at -2000000 life
So how does that work? You can't win? So how are you expecting to win using that card?
Just kill it when you have done well enough damage. Plenty of kill target creature in black.
So how does that work? You can't win? So how are you expecting to win using that card?
well platinum angel still beats that card
So how does that work? You can't win? So how are you expecting to win using that card?
You kill it yourself? Duh?
There's like a million ways to get rid of it, percy is a beast of a card, most opponents remove him for you anyways.
Since if they go to negative life they are pretty much dead since you just remove him and win.
well platinum angel still beats that card
Did you not see the fact that it's a 4 cmc 6/6 flying trample? That's an absolute beatstick. Not only that but it's just dripping with flavor.

His effect is at end of turn, both their discard and your draw 7.

You're supposed to flash him in at the end of a turn.
Sac it when your opponent is at -2000000 life
But couldn't you just bring them to -2000000? Might be easier too. Unless you mean the opponent gets cocky, so you easily win?

But you would win anyway when they reach 0? Still think this is too much trouble.
His effect is at end of turn, both their discard and your draw 7.
with flash and instant speed reanimation tools like goryo's vengeance and makeshift mannequin you should always be casting him at the end of the turn anyways

You're underestimating a 6/6 flying, trample for 4 mana.

not when you have strictly have an all artifact deck
not when you have strictly have an all artifact deck
Then you don't run it in your deck?
I can't understand people saying a card is bad when it doesn't fit in their deck, but it works great in others.
I just bought the entangling webs (spider) deck so I can play with my friend. Was that a good deck to start of with? I have never really played much magic but my friend recommended it to me as he said it is really fun, and I have enjoyed it so far. I just hope it doesn't suck all my money away like Yu-Gi-Oh did :v:
Gauise black lotus and the moxes suck because my deck doesn't need fast mana.
power nine? more like suck on mine

Built a deck around 4 grave crawlers and 3 Geralf's Messenger. But I never draw any of them :(

You must shuffle like shit
You must shuffle like shit
I had a friend who just put a deck together and went through and shuffled the -shit- out of it before playing.
It was back in order, just split where I cut it.
I built a deck with 20 mana cards for 5 turns I got mana. To top that I was facing a deck that had shadow creatures, so blocking was a waste of time.
You must shuffle like shit
I only have problem with that particular deck.
