I only have problem with that particular deck.
Know that feel. Play a deck 20 times, mana starved eery time. Cave in, swap 2 critters for 2 lands. Mana flood every time afterwards.
Riffle shuffle three times. Quick, fast dirty. If I'm playing at a real event then I'll riffle for a couple of minutes before presenting. Always ask your opponent if you may riffle their deck. It's incredibly rude to riffle a deck without asking. If you're playing a real format never riffle. Buddha shuffle that shit.
[editline]22nd March 2012[/editline] Fuck that shit use sleeves, corner2side.
I corner into the side then riffle it back into deck. It astounds people when you do it really fast. Just watch out, if someone boxes your deck you can destroy all your sleeves in one sift move.
Get one of those Vegas-style shufflers. Then you can feel super cool.
Why run the risk of bent cards?
Funny thing about cards are that they have the magical capability to bend back.
You think I ever bent one of my cards? Then you are a fool Furthermore standard cards rotate too quickly to bend, even modern rotates too quickly. There's a reason why I don't riffle eternal cards (and it's not because my set of FoW is mint)
Get one of those Vegas-style shufflers. Then you can feel super cool.
A guy at the shop I go to once told me a story of one of those destroying a black lotus, plus it's way quicker to just do it by hand.
Fine you pansy. Digitize every card you have and have a random sort algorithm go through and sort the cards out for you and play everything online. [editline]23rd March 2012[/editline] That was meant to be funny, but I think it came out as mean. So don't take it the wrong way.
The thing about using a shuffling machine on Magic cards is that they're not quite the same size and shape as regular cards, so it fucks up.
I came up with this crazy idea today. What if you created a previous game state for a player and then had them cast an epic spell and race the epic to see if you can win?
Are old cards valuable, for being sortof a collectors item? I seem to have some from 1994.
question: are you guys fans of planeswalkers? I think they're p.cool, at least for someone who doesn't have much knowledge of cheaper, more awesome regular cards. I recently acquired Chandra, the Firebrand in a random pack: [t]http://s16.postimage.org/tkz5o06mt/chandradagregory.jpg[/t] Then, the next day, I found another. :v: I'm a big fan, I put it in my blue/white control deck with some mana-summoning cards, and about 3 Mountains thrown in so I can fill out that measly 1 red mana in her CMC.
Are old cards valuable, for being sortof a collectors item? I seem to have some from 1994.
Only if they're good cards. Chances are your cards are shit and worthless.
Only if they're good cards. Chances are your cards are shit and worthless.
They sure are! I picked up some booster cards today, not alot worth mentioning I guess. Except for this one: http://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=222186 Gonna use that one. But, I wish more people that I know irl would play it.
I run a deck with a lot of cards which boost creature power until the end of turn (Vulshok Heartstoker, Firebreathing, etc.). Using those cards on this card ends up being pretty useful to me.

Out of curiosity what's sort of a semi decent, casual fun deck. The last time I played was during mirrodin with casualised version of affinity. It's just some friends are trying to get a bunch of us to play at uni.
i would love to find a place where you can compete via webcam. i know cheating would be a problem, but the fun of actually be able to play with ma old card again would be glorious!
You could Skype. Just don't cheat and be a dick. [editline]25th March 2012[/editline]
Out of curiosity what's sort of a semi decent, casual fun deck. Flipping coins is great fun in groups.

anyone would be whilling too make such match via skype someday?
anyone would be whilling too make such match via skype someday?
Sure, although we could also take the suggestion above, and do it online via another program?
Going through the trouble to make you deck online can be a hassle though.

for casual fun play edh with your friends
Did a pretty sweet trade the other day. Exchanged my 3 Increasing confusion and a Vision of beyond for Karn Liberated, Vorinclex, Angelic Destiny, Beguiler of Wills, Royal Assassin, and 22 other cards. Why such a ridiculous trade? He got a shit ton of cards. Buys like 3 boxes for each new release. And he doesn't care about cards he doesn't use for his decks.

Lucky you!
