Does anyone fancy playing standard decks over webcam? Would help if you also have a mic. Add "sambow007" to your friends list.
I'll be steam messaging you today regarding just that ^^
That walker's gonna be real good for when ravnica comes around and izzet's back. [editline]12th April 2012[/editline] GET IN MAH GHAVE
Pay RR for a really bad planeswalker
What does RR stand for?
Good gravy there are some ridiculously good cards coming out in the next release. Green-white beatdown here I come. And updated equipment deck. And updated infect, and updated red beatdown, and...
Pay RR for a really bad planeswalker
No way, in burning vengeance he adds more to your graveyard. He's gonna be nice in limited too, because if he makes it out early game anybody with late-game fatties is going to need to waste removal or attacks to get rid of him so they can actually use them.
What does RR stand for?
RR here means red red, the cost of the card. Another helpful one: cmc = overall cost (converted mana cost; the total mana required to play a card, regardless of color) [editline]13th April 2012[/editline] I still can't manage to beat my infect deck, no matter what I throw at it. Clearly I am missing something.
Tried making a deck around the human saccing-mechanic: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/human-offerings/ What do you think? I need one more Falkenrath Aristocrat, one more Increasing Devotion, and one more Doomsayer.
I still can't manage to beat my infect deck, no matter what I throw at it. Clearly I am missing something.
Well, figured out a significant part of it. I was missing 17 cards to make it legal.
Can some one give me thoughts on a blue/white allies deck I'm working on for reasonably casual play? This is the current list:
4 Momentary Blink 4 Hada Freeblade 4 Kazandu Blademaster 3 Ondu Cleric 2 Seascape Aerialist 3 Talus Paladin 4 Umara Raptor 3 Jwari Shapeshifter 2 Unsummon 2 Boomerang 3 Disenchant 10 Plains 9 Island 4 Mimic Vat 3 Nimbus Maze
But when Avacyn Restored comes out I'm might swap Momentary Blink for Cloudshift (depending on how much use Momentary Blink's flashback is) and add Cathar's Crusade.
Does anyone want to play with screen share? If so add "Sambow007" to your Steam friends. Microphone please!
WHA WHOA scavenging ooze is up to $42
WHA WHOA scavenging ooze is up to $42
Why the fuck. Isn't the whole commander pack already cheaper than that?
yes, yes it is. I can see that going up even more because it's only been printed in one set and it annihilates goyf
yes, yes it is. I can see that going up even more because it's only been printed in one set and it annihilates goyf
Its 25 € in Europe and 42 in the US. The EDH scene must be much bigger there.
can you block a 4/6 with three 2/2's so that the 4/6 dies? [editline]14th April 2012[/editline] do you tap when blocking?
can you block a 4/6 with three 2/2's so that the 4/6 dies? [editline]14th April 2012[/editline] do you tap when blocking?
http://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/qbulu/ive_been_working_on_a_hi_youre_new_to_mtg_post/ Do read.
can you block a 4/6 with three 2/2's so that the 4/6 dies? [editline]14th April 2012[/editline] do you tap when blocking?
1. Yes you can, but all the 2/2s will receive the 4 damage and die. 2. No they do not tap when blocking.
1. Yes you can, but all the 2/2s will receive the 4 damage and die.
Nope, there's 3 of them, two of them will die. [editline]15th April 2012[/editline] The damage is divided by the attacker iirc
So the attacker picks what creeps you defend with take the damage? Ex: 4/4 vs 2/2 + 2/2 + 2/2 You can let the hostile attack your hp, attack 1 creep, or attack 2/3 creeps? And at the last option he gets to choose what he divides the damage amongst? Not I did not know about the last one, I thought you could but I didn't know for sure.
No, it's not like that. Okay someone attacks you with a 6/6 You want to kill the bastard and you block with your three 2/2's The attacker decided in which order will it deal the damage first it hits one, pow, two power used, now it can deal 4 damage, then the second, pow, 2 damage left, and then pow, 0 power left, it has killed all of them and so have your creatures killed it. If it had trample, it wouldn't trample through because you gotta put lethal damage to the creature blocking the trampler and the rest of the dmg goes through, that's why trample+deathtouch is really mean, you can deal 1 damage to the blocked because its lethal and trample the rest.
So, if it starts 6/5 it would count as a 4/3 and then 2/1 after killing each? [editline]15th April 2012[/editline] I'm sorry for not knowing this, I never did it and I'm relatively new. In other news I'm gonna play with a friend tonight!

I just sparked an interest in this game, had a friend spare me a few cards and gave me a blue deck. I don't particularly like it, I think I'd rather have a black deck. He also gave me Pathrazer of Ulamog, which looks pretty damn powerful but is nearly useless since I need 11 mana to summon it and I can rarely get more than 4.
