Why are there nothing but sheep in the taiga and no cows, chickens or pigs? I had to import chickens through the nether via eggs. (out of the ten I tossed into my coop, only one hatched...)

My fortress is directly across from Artix's, although it's hidden in some sort of open-cave-style thing. I'm surprised you didn't see it.

At least you can practice I guess. I've been doing my own hardcore save. Found a dozen diamond and a stack of iron in one expedition to a massive underground cave complex. I'm gonna shoot for nether, and eventually the end.
Well, I am hardly that good at survivial, I remember. Still alive, but could die any second. That free to take crop chest helped. Took 6 wheat, and 5 melons, leaving more than enough for others. Thanks to whoever made that chest free game.
We need to light up spawn town some more. It still crawls at night. My first 30 minutes back, I damn near died again - Creeper took out the side of my house, and I was mauled by a spider. I'll work on that tonight after work, but if anyone wants to work on it in the meantime I think it would make us all feel a bit more safe!
Got bored. Made a thing.

I actually might take my old laptop and stick CentOS on it and put a small Minecraft server on Creative or Non-Hardcore Survival. It's a old Pentium Dual-Core with 3 GB RAM, but with nothing else running on it, the thing should be able to host 5-10 players fine.

No one has looted my stuff, have they? I thought the ban was permanent, I didn't know it only lasted till friday. It's a bit away from the spawn village (Towards the mountains), my main is marked with a giant cobble tower. Could anyone check to see if it's been looted?

I made a new server, Purgatory.
Whitelist, survival hard, not hardcore, you can only join if you're dead. For fun, I've put the server's texture pack as "[url=http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/242175-16x13-isabella-ii-13v2-ctmadness-and-some-bug-fixes-august-3-2012/]Isabella II[/url]," which is a gloomy looking texture pack. Note that I am in no way affiliated with Glitchman or his server, I'm just doing this for fun on my own. On the same token, I can not guarantee stability or longevity.
You join and build at your own risk. Expect me to randomly fuck with the server seed or delete and regenerate entire chunks (never inhabited ones,) because Purgatory is nice, but not too nice.
Ask me to whitelist you!
