It's almost like we should build a huge wall around the whole kingdom

I'm thinkin' about doing that with my newly christened Republic. Right now all I have are markers set out a distance marking the country's borders.

I built my house next to the graveyard I would encourage anyone who builds their home in the town to think twice before building. Treat the land as a piece of paper you are about to cut; cut in the edges first (Build in the corners, not in the middle of the town!) Leave space for the others too.
