Would it be considered murder if I filled the bottom with lava and forced my knaves to onto the gallows?
When I returned from the dead my chest had been looted of its valuables, not a great start to the week. ):
Attach cobweb on top of gallow, receive infinite credits
So in light of the recent siege put forth, I suggest that battles be allowed with actual PvP. When war, etc is declared, the two parties set forth a date & time to meet. To which the PvP settings will be enabled until the finalization of said battle. I foresee many battles taking place Thursday evenings if this is to pass. What does everyone else say? It would certainly add another dynamic to the game, & with so many people creating their own city-states/countries, would be entertaining.
i want to be Switzerland then
I'd be okay with it. Have Glitch or someone else observe, warn everyone else before hand, and limit the amount of looting/sacking post-battle. Being nice and building castles is only entertaining for so long.
I logged in and saw a snow golem die in front of me

He was a brave snowman
Can we get a logblock check? someone jacked the gold out of the 4x4 piston gate and somehow broke it again.
Does this server use that terribly annoying plugin that protects certain areas so you end up not being able to open doors and crap?
I know you listed the plugins but I know a lot of server owners don't like having that pop up on the thread.
Whitelist me if you don't. Mr_Sun
There is only like, 2 plugins. I think one you can lock chests, don't know if I removed that
Honestly I haven't played in weeks even though I run the server. Last thing I did was build the spawnville radio tower

We went through this before, we don't want PVP as this is a server of co-operation and all that.
That was a general PvP day. This is PvP between two consenting parties who want it.

I could see factions being used.
If you got rid claiming land and what not, and had all factions permanently peaceful except on terms a written agreement for war.
I think factions is a really really really really really bad idea.
Even with written agreements for war it'd still totally destroy the friendly community we have and splinter it into little teams, against each other and no longer cohesive. Even though the amiability of the community at large has suffered since around the time of the map switch (what with multiple griefers lurking about) we should do everything we can to preserve it.
As such, I'd like to propose a community event; not a Misery Mire event or a Hough Diquelo event or a Valleyhold event but a Max No-Relax event. What if we were to locate a Stronghold, and then have as many people as possible go into the portal to fight the Ender Dragon?
Last map there was a small party of maybe 5 people (and the fight wound up being underwhelming) but I think it'd still bring everyone a little closer together to work together to fight a bigger foe, especially with a bunch of people.
Another proposition for a server-wide event: Make a huge obsidian arena at spawn, with a roof, and have as many people as possible team up to fight the Wither. Something to bring everyone together. Gone are the days of funerals where a good half-dozen people would meet at spawn and vomit flowers. Gone are the days of the farm near spawn that produced bushel upon bushel of wheat for anyone who cared to harvest and replant it. Gone, too, are the times when people would congregate at the Spleef Arena to watch people fight to the death; the arena, in fact, has been closed due to the apparent unwillingness of some unnamed Joe Public who continually led creepers in and failed to clean up after them. The community is weaker. It's less personal.
The hostility between various sects, between the dirty Valleyholders and the glorious Miregoers, between the filthy Valleyholders and the equally terrible Hough Diquehatteloians, between the scum-of-the-earth Valleyholders and the rest of the civilized world, is getting unpleasantly present. Neither I nor many many other people started playing on this server because we wanted to fight. We joined because we saw a fun server with a nice community.
Arc Nova is making the assumption that I hate him based on the fact that I left when I called him gay.
Despite me already declaring that I was leaving and him telling me that DELAYED my departure, so when I left he considered it to be his own personal victory.

I'd seriously like to do a mega-build in survival. Anyone who would take place in that rate heart, anyone who thinks it's a terrible idea rate dumb.
[editline]16th December 2012[/editline]
What would we build?
The easiest thing to do would be something like a medieval city, but I think it'd be interesting to do a floating city in the End.
It should be an incredibly dangerous project for shits and giggles.
welp i lagged while climbin the citadel and fell to my death

Colonise the End for shit 'n' giggles?
Colonise the End for shit 'n' giggles?
How exactly is the end hard to colonise?
We'd have nothing to work with, and people would be falling off the edge left and right. It wouldn't be hard, but it would take a lot of work and it would be interesting.
[editline]16th December 2012[/editline]
Seriously, instead of talking about it lets do it. I say next friday we get our enderpearls and all of our gear and kill the ender dragon, and then we colonize the end.
I have at least two dozen pearls.
too many issues with people fucking around, every other day i look there's something missing from my creations. We should get a logbook of some sort.
Colonise the End for shit 'n' giggles?
Yeah, let's. We should build a town that, in any other place, would just be your average medieval English farming town, but in that fucking horrible End area. As long as we can skip that stupid "ending" once we beat the Dragon, and the survivors get some sweet loot.

We have Blocklog or whatever it's called.
And yeah, TMBG is right, we have kinda splintered. I'm still going to keep up with the whole "Valleyhold 4 lyfe i am King" shtick because I'm fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucking bored out where I am, but we should start trying to do more community stuff. If I remember correctly, there are directions to a Stronghold in the Spawncity library. I'll go along if we can assemble a decent group.
