I just died trying to get it since it was lagging and my health didn't go down untill i died. Viral got some of your stuff that i picked up before i died, but the rest despawned after viral killed the pigman. I'd say 3:1 is a good Kill/death ratio for a pigman, he deserves a medal. Posthumously, of course.

As we came through into the nether Silverthing joined and the entire nether lagged. I hacked away at the pigman who Kali didn't realise was attacking him (And if he wasn't attacking he didn't want to aggro him because they can fuck you up in two hits or less if their sword is enchanted) Kali died and I fucked up the Pigman's killstreak and started picking up stuff. I managed to dump some shit in a chest but the bulk of Arc's/Your stuff despawned apart from the bits Kali had picked up before he got killed. If we'd known he was [I]right on the otherside[/I] of the portal we'd probably have done better.

I find it super-cool that one pigman managed to start an item-rescuing situation and killing three people.
