Also I played ME2 and beat it while not playing ME1. I didn't really find it had detracted from the game at all. I already knew the gist of the story from ME1.
Though certainly playing ME1 first would add to you ME2 experience.
Sweet. I have a QQ6600 with 2GB RAM and a 9600. And you told me that I can max the game so awesome. Plus there is a steam sale which is awesome too but I don't know if I'll pick it up today. I bought inFamous today for $20 and I want to play it. I didn't even know Mass Effect 2 was on a steam sale.
