Sucks that the game got boring fast, yeah.
this game has no replayability
It's actually quite fun to roleplay and it really adds replayability. I've just finished a campaign as Castro where i went for low salaries, no churches, no entertainment and only made tenements for housing. Got me a fuckload of money but at the same time 70 rebels appeared on the island (in total), it also got me 3 coups and 2 uprisings.
Because of?
once you get a somewhat stable economy all you do is click and build
Hmm my miners went on a strike for better working conditions, so i send the military and they shot 3 miners. The rest pissed their pants and went back to work.
I was wondering if I should download the demo or not, and then I saw this. Demo away!
once you get a somewhat stable economy all you do is click and build
I thought there were tons of natural disasters you had to deal with? And plus isn't the Sims kind of similar in that sense? Except in the Sims it's your goal to make the perfect dream house but in this it would be to make the perfect island civilazation. Because if so then I'd still have a lot of fun, I enjoyed The Sims.
I love this game. It's fun and relaxing
Where do all you fuckers keep getting the game? I can't even play the demo, Steam won't allow it! Steam's controlling my life!
Steam version comes out way later.
There's this country in Europe called Germany. Still I don't see the point in locking the demo of the game on Steam. But hey, whatever as long as the whole locked demo thing is not just me then I'll sit and wait patiently.
I played the original back in it's prime. The demo for this one was really great, so it's a must buy for me.

Two days and the game will be released worldwide.
I thought there were tons of natural disasters you had to deal with? .
not really
I tried the demo, it was actually really cool but I can see it getting old (the campaign anyway) quite quickly. However, what I love about these games is the when you can load up the sandbox and make a utopia or a totalitarian fuckwad of an island! Will be fun!
After all I like the first one better, the old graphic style looks just marvelous. Although the new one has really great improvements.
Slight bump but I just got the game and I find it terrificly fun even though I'm really terrible at it. What are the best ways to get a stable economy quickly? I often tend to side with the U.S because the USSR has worse "perks" so to speak.
Can the game run in English if you buy the German version? I can't be bothered waiting to pick this up from a store, and I was going to buy the German version on eBay.

The lighting effects were very nice!

I love using the army to track down "spies" and watch the gun battle ensue.
I saw an XBOX 360 version at my local gamestore, first I was confused, but people claim it is awesome. Maybe I'll get it.
PC version > Console version
No strategy game has ever fared well on a console. Sans a few, like sim city.
And even then it was easily 1000x better on a PC.
Bought it, because my pc killed himself since weeks. It's really great, controlwise.
I'm contemplating buying this; is it worth the £27?
If you are into Citybuilding and management, and a somewhat realistic political system. And if you have building nice cities and enjoy watching people.
Is it possible to make the game last forever? Like I don't wanna play for 50 years and just be all "GAME OVER LOL AT U ALL UR SHIT GOOONNNEEE" :(
Yes, after the 50 years you will be able to play still on. Although 50 Years are quite a long time.
Type Civilwar in console for infinite funds.
