I have a church, but almost no one goes to it, then they all complain about religion and want to rebel Am I supposed to have alot of churches or put it away from everything else or what? [editline]06:21AM[/editline] Also does anyone have a guide or something that tells you what all the icons that can float above buildings mean?
The only two I've seen so far is the head with the cross through it, meaning no one's in the building, and the sun, which gives the building a boost when your avatar visits them.
Oh. I've seen a bag with a slash through it, though people still worked there and produced things
Quick question, I have the box copy of Tropico 3 and I'm wondering that if I buy the digital copy of the expansion pack will it be compatible with my retail copy?
Oh. I've seen a bag with a slash through it, though people still worked there and produced things
The bag with a slash through it means that nobody is taking goods from it. Is the expansion pack worth it?
Oh I figured out the religion thing, only having one guy working there means only like 3 people can go there at once :) I'm stoopid
[editline]05:02PM[/editline] Nope.
But no retail stores have the expansion *whine*
[editline]05:02PM[/editline] Nope.
But no retail stores have the expansion *whine*
You might be able to order it directly from the publisher. But except for Steam, I don't know if it's available anywhere.
The campaign missions are fucking stupid and ridiculously boring. This game is only good in small portions.
This game is only good in small portions.
I highly disagree.
I love pissing everybody off and then fighting rebellions.
I don't get why my militarists are so unhappy, they keep saying they have bad conditions but they're paid the highest wages, they have both an armory and base and the modernization edict is in effect. On another note, is Absolute Power worth getting? It looks good but I'm still undecided on it.

I got annoyed with everyone protesting - so I shot them all. Bad idea.
I got annoyed with everyone protesting - so I shot them all. Bad idea.
No shit, sherlock. :downs: Hey look, citizens on protest. Just blast them all, no one will care.
First one was great, 2nd was better, and 3rd is holy shit awesome.
Just started a sandbox game. Got voted out in something like 8 years. Fuck me, this game is hard.
Just started a sandbox game. Got voted out in something like 8 years. Fuck me, this game is hard.
What was your Difficulty percentage? :S I play at about 119, and I've never gotten below 60% of the votes.
Is Spec Ops training on?
Spec ops isn't on but I've gotten their respect up to 30 so its not as bad but it could be higher.
No shit, sherlock. :downs: Hey look, citizens on protest. Just blast them all, no one will care.
Yes, because I wasn't being sarcastic at all and I didn't know that already. [/sarcasm]
I suck so hard at this game, no matter what I do or build I keep losing money. Nothing even exports out of my country. Any tips?
I suck so hard at this game, no matter what I do or build I keep losing money. Nothing even exports out of my country. Any tips?
Start off by building a logging camp or a mine, followed by a factory that can convert either lumber or mining resources to furniture/jewelry/whatever. Or build a tourist dock, a hotel and some tourist attractons, they'll rake in some serious money, provided they do good.
Tropico 3 is complaining that my chipset doesn't support DirectX 9, But I'm using a Nvidia 9600GT. Anyone know of a fix? Never mind, fixed it.
I suck so hard at this game, no matter what I do or build I keep losing money. Nothing even exports out of my country. Any tips?
I find that spamming farms is a good tactic due to their low cost. Sugar or tobacco is best, but other like coffee and pineapple are good too. Once you have a steady income, develop this further by building industry buildings (distillery for sugar, cigar factory for tobacco and a cannery for coffee/pineapples).

I'll need to do that.
Ranches bring in ass loads of money.
Tobacco brings in a fuckton if the land is right for it. And if you can build a cigar factory, do that too
Because what would the world do without fine Cuban cigars?
Because what would the world do without fine Tropican cigars?
This isn't Cuba :downs:
Tobacco brings in a fuckton if the land is right for it. And if you can build a cigar factory, do that too
Oh yeah, in the campaign mission where it's either a Pro-US or Pro-USSR decision I built two tobacco farms and a Cigar Factory. I was making £20,000 per export within the first 10 minutes!
