Shame, she was the best one.
I agree. Though apparently there's still people that are really trying to release an English patch.
Actually, there is a partial patch around for 35% of Tomoyo's After. Then, the group gave up, and now there's another group working on it. Maybe we'll see it one day.
Mostly... I didn't appreciate [sp]Mr. Braun shooting Moeka, totally ruined his soft side that was shown in the VN when he sacrificed himself to save Moeka.[/sp]
[sp]Must be pretty uncomfortable knowing that your landlord is being forced to work for an evil organization[/sp]
I didn't mind Nagisa.
Of course, that's after 50 hours of talking to her and her family. (I am not kidding, After story is extremely long, and you have to play it 4 times :v:)
If it was just Akio I could stand it. But for some reason, something about Nagisa just makes me unable to like her.

That's perfectly reasonable. You're not forced to like any characters in any way.
The same way I didn't really like Fuuko, even though her arc is one of the best.
Steins Gate looks interesting...
Made some Lilly GIF

I was afraid that i will never play my copy.
I wish they re-release the xbox 360 version on the pc because it has more content ;_;
Ahaha, guess itachi got a bit butt hurt.
Also i really liked Tsukihime and the Type-MOON Series.

Developed by: 5pb, Nitroplus
Released: October 15[SUP]th[/SUP], 2009
Length: Long (30-50 hours)
Genre: Science fiction, thriller, drama, comedy
Synopsis: Steins;Gate takes place in Akihabara and is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN who has been doing their own research on time travel tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.
Made by the same guys who made Chaos;Head. Has voice acting.
Opinion: Haven't played it yet, but I've watched some clips of it and watched the anime adaptation. From what I've seen the VN is definitely as good as, or maybe even better than the anime. The story is stellar, and the characters are likeable. Music is amazing. Gets real feelcoaster mid way into the game.

Steam? As in Valve's Steam? That is quite interesting.
Yeah Valve's Steam
Digital distribution would probably be the best way to get PC VNs into the western market
Don't know how Nitroplus' past VNs will affect if they decide to put it up or not, since they have made eroges before

Tsukihime's good, But Fate/Stay Night is far better in everything but amount of routes.

Well wouldn't it be the first pure VN on Steam if you don't count Chantelise and Recettear since they were more about the gameplay.
Tsukihime's good, But Fate/Stay Night is far better in everything but amount of routes.
I was not a huge fan of anything on Near Side of the Moon. Far Side was pretty awesome though.

Yeah it would, that's why I'm hoping it would work out
Gut feeling's telling me it most likely won't though

Oh? Why do you think that if I might ask.
I was not a huge fan of anything on Near Side of the Moon. Far Side was pretty awesome though.
It's the opposite for me. I liked the Near side much more than the far side.
I dunnoh, the far side of the moon arcs were really really far-fetched, and the endings, welp :v:

I found all the arcs in it to be rather hit and miss the whole time.

Added this to the OP, thank you for your contribution to the vn megathread!

Steins;Gate on Steam would be fantastic.
Of course, having Visual Novels in English on Steam in general would be fantastic.
I'm proud of you Facepunch, two years ago this thread wouldn't be able to exist due to the irrational fear of anime everyone had.
Oh? Why do you think that if I might ask.
Might be bad rep publishing a game from a company who makes eroges (the same company that made Saya no Uta)
VN's aren't exactly the rage in Western markets, so it's going be be a big risk if they try to bring it here
I'm proud of you Facepunch, two years ago this thread wouldn't be able to exist due to the irrational fear of anime everyone had.
You can thank Fast Anime for that.

I'm sure plenty of people enjoyed anime, it's just always the idiots who are the loudest
